A Ski Trip

(1) The Invite

"I love you too Justin baby..goodnight." Brooklyn said as she came through the front door.

It was almost 9PM on a Tuesday night. She walked into the living room "Hey girls.." she said

"Hey..how was class?" Natasha said

"Ugh..I hate night classes. I mean seriously who wants to take American History at 7PM." She said as she walked to the kitchen.

"I told you to keep it at 8AM with me.." Hope said

"I know..but that professor was giving me the creeps." She said as she popped open a beer.

"But anyways..how has your night been?" She said after she took a sip.

"Well we have decided that next month for spring break we are taking a ski trip. Sam and our good friend Bucky are born a week apart. So we figured why not plan something fun for their 21st birthday." Wanda said

"Ooo I bet that they would love that. It would be a nice break for them from military life." She said as she made herself a pimento cheese sandwich.

"B we would like for you to come?" Natasha said

She took a bite of her sandwich. "Sure." She said once she swallowed her bite.

"Justin won't be mad will he?" Tegan said

"No..in two weeks he leaves for a deployment for two years." She said as she drank her beer.

"Awesome..cause it wouldnt feel right without you. You are so much fun especially when you have been drinking." Natasha said

"Aww thanks..Im so glad my drunkness is fun for everyone. Im going to go take a shower cause I didnt have time to in between practice and class earlier. But let me know the deets of the trip and Im so there." She said and walked to her room.

While she was in the shower the boys skyped in. "Where is Barnes?" Natasha said

"Im here..Ive got Morgan on my IPAD. She says hi." He said as he turned the screen around.

"Hey girl.." Tegan said

"Whats up girls?" Sam said as Bucky ended his call with Morgan.

"So for our spring break since it starts the same weekend as your birthday Sam. And Bucky's is there week before we figured we could plan a trip to like a ski resort. Reserve a cabin for the whole week. Celebrate your alls 21st birthday. We even invited Brooklyn." Natasha said

"Aww baby that nice of you. We will have to talk to our CO to make sure we can take the time away." Clint said

Natasha smiled. "Nat Morgan's spring break isnt until the first week of April." Bucky said as they talked through skype chat.

"Oh..I forget alot of times that she doesnt go here. Im sorry Buck." Wanda said

"Its fine..she isnt big on drinking anyways." He said as he went to get another beer.

"Well just let us know if they will allow you all to leave so we can reserve a cabin." Tegan said

"We will do baby girl." Sam said

They talked to them about an hour more. Bucky went back to his room to call Morgan back. Brooklyn did her reading homework as she finished her beer.

A few days later the boys let the girls know to reserve a cabin that they would be allowed to leave Fort Bragg for that week. So with the help of their parents they were able to reserve the cabin in Colorado.

Two weeks later Brooklyn flew out to to Hawthorne in Nevada where Justin was stationed. "This never gets easier baby. But I promise in two years I will give you your dream fall wedding. I love you Brooklyn baby." Justin said

She wiped her tears and gave him her best fake smile. "I love you too Justin baby.." she said.

He grabbed her cheeks and kissed her. "See you soon gorgeous." He said

"See you soon." She said then he walked away.

She flew back in the next morning and drove back to campus. The girls hugged her as she cried.
