(16) Meeting The Fitz's

The following weekend Bucky drove into Athens. Brooklynn's family was in town they were going to meet them at the restaurant. Once Bucky arrived at her house he seen her.

"Wow baby..you look gorgeous..are you sure heels are a good idea with you being pregnant." He said

"Im fine..thats the least of my worries right now.." she said as she gave him her keys.

"Baby..breathe." he said as he locked her door.

He helped her down her front porch stairs as they went to get in her car. She was now was 31 weeks he didnt feel comfortable with her climbing into his big truck. They took off in her car to Guthrie's Italian and Grill.

Brooklynn could feel Bucky's palms starting to sweat the closer they got. "You alright Buck?" She said

"Yeah..I just. Morgan's parents never liked me. Her dad even told her that I was nothing more than a fuck boy that I was just buying my time. Morgan was my only serious relationship I have ever had. So I have been a nervous wreck all day." He said

She looked down. "Thats okay..if it makes you feel any better. Justin's parents never liked me either." She said

He squeezed her hand. "You cant be everybody's cup of tea baby. Thats what my mom told me when I told her what Morgan's dad say about me when we ended. Morgan threw it in my face." He said

She let out a laugh they pulled into the restaurant. Brooklynn swallowed hard then took a deep breathe. Bucky opened the door for her.

They were all waiting for them outside the restaurant. She smiled at them she hugged her dad and mom.

"James this is my dad Retired 2nd Lt Allan Fitz my mom Monica Fitz. My oldest sister Adrienne and my brother in law Sgt Deacon Franklin. My other older sister Oaklynn Jones her husband is overseas his name is Corporal Tristan Jones. And this knucklehead here is my little brother Gabe he is 16." She said

"Nice to meet you sir. Mrs Fitz Mrs Franklin. Sgt Franklin Mrs Jones. And nice to meet you as well Gabe." Bucky said

"This is my boyfriend Specialist James Barnes." Brooklynn said

"Its nice to meet you Specialist Barnes." Allan said

"I reserved a table when we made our plans to fly in. So lets go in and sit. Especially since you are heels Brooklynn Ansley Margaret." Monica said

Brooklynn's face turned red she never let's anyone know her third name. "Thanks mom" she said

They all went inside Monica told the hostess. The hostess walked them to the room where they had a table set up for them. Brooklynn sat down beside Bucky he grabbed her hand and squeezed.

"So James where are you stationed?" Deacon said

"Fort Bragg.." he said after he gave his drink order.

"How did you meet my sister?" Adrienne said

"Her old room mates are friends of mine. They are engaged to my 5 best friends. Only one of them isnt enlisted he attends college at UNC. We met on the ski trip earlier this year." Bucky said

"Brooklynn.." Oaklynn said

"Okay let me clear this up..Justin lied two years ago. He wants to pin the blame on me..all I did was kiss someone thats all. I was dared to kiss his sister's boyfriend Lydia was mad. So she lied to him and said that I slept with him. He believed her over me..but yes I slept with James thats how we have this little guy on the way. Get off my ass about it..Im happier now than I ever was with Justin..when he ended things with me I didnt care. Yes I was hurt but more than anything I was happy." Brooklynn said

"But I also know that Specialist Barnes is also a guilty party in this. You told your mother that he was also attached to someone else. Where is she now Specialist?" Allan said

"She ended our relationship three months ago. She was going through my ICloud and found my pictures of me and Brooklynn in Aspen." Bucky said

"So you didnt tell her the truth..until after she found the evidence." Allan said

"Yes sir.." he said

"And now?" Allan said

"We are together now dad. Hence why I asked you all to fly out to meet him since I cant exactly fly to Austin." She said

"And the baby will have his last name?" Allan said

"Yes daddy..his name will be Brantley Noah James Barnes." She said

"Good girl..now lets celebrate my baby girl's birthday. By the way James as long as you dont repeat your mistakes with my daughter. I have no problem with this relationship." Allan said

"Yes sir. I dont have any intentions of hurting her." Bucky said

"Good.." he said

They all started to talk about other things. Bucky exchanged his mom's contact info with Monica. So they could plan the baby shower together.

After Bucky made sure Brooklynn was in the car. Allan and him stood at the trunk of the car. "2nd Lt Fitz..may I have your blessing to ask her hand in marriage?" Bucky said

Allan smiled at him. "Do you really love my daughter son?" Allan said

"Yes I do." He said

"Then yes you have my blessing. Not just because of that answer. But also because Justin didn't ask me like you did. I never liked how he tried to control her. Im glad that you are her age Justin is 5 years older than her he wasnt good to my baby. She is special to me my only baby I got to see come into this world. Ive been retired 10 years Barnes..Ive missed alot but seeing my last baby girl come into this world was and will always be my greatest moment." Allan said

Bucky smiled "She is something special sir." He said

"Get her home and we will see you all next time we come in for the baby shower." Allan said

"Yup..see you later" he said as he went to get in the car.

They headed back to her house where he bent her over the bed and they had sex. They were both getting off together. As they were laying there in bed he said "So..not saying anything mean..but.."

"I was telling the truth..Justin didnt want to believe me. He thought I was making excuses." She said as she looked at him.

He kissed her. "You do have some very kissable pouty lips baby." He whispered.

"Why thank you.." she said

"And there is awful lot of blonde hair in your family.." he said

She giggled. "I know..but Im prettiest blonde.." she said

"Mmm yes you are.." he said as they began to make out once their mini session was over they fell asleep.
