(10) A Late Period & An Engagement Party

It was the weekend of mother's day Brooklynn was laying in her bed. She had felt sick the last 4 mornings. She knew it was 4 days. Because  she started to feel sick on May 10th and it was now May 14th.

Wanda came in with a pharmacy bag and shut the door. "Here..I got you 4 different kinds. Since the last one you took was a very faint result last weekend." Wanda said in a low tone.

Brooklynn carefully sat up she took the bag. She laid it on her bed "Thanks Wanda.." she said

"Welcome..Now I have to get to Savannah. Text me as soon as you get the results and I will get you in with my mom." Wanda said

"Okay.." she said as they hugged.

The girls were heading home to Savannah. It was the day of Bucky's engagement party that his mom and Morgan's mom planned. They thought it was best to keep quiet about the engagement for fear that it might upset her.

When she realized that she had a late period. Brooklynn only told Wanda about her late period. Wanda helped her the weekend before take a test that came back with a faint second line.

Halfway through the party Brooklynn sent her picture of the tests. She texted below it. "Im fucking pregnant..all 5 of them say positive!! 😲😭🤦‍♀️"

Wanda went wide eyed as she read it. Steve seen her face "Baby whats wrong?"

She looked at him and swallowed hard. "Brooklynn is pregnant.." she whispered.

"What?" He said as he read her text then looked out to the dance floor.

Bucky was dancing and being so adorably in love with Morgan. Like  he did nothing wrong two months ago. Wanda took her phone back she kissed Steve and left the party dragging the girls with her.

As they were on their way back to campus. Wanda called her mom to ask her to help Brooklynn to be her doctor. She knew Brooklynn would be to embarassed to return to her doctor.

She was able to get her an appointment for two weeks from that day. Back at the party "Where did your girls go? Morgan had something for them" Bucky said

"Oh they had to get back to campus. An emergency came up and they had to leave." Sam said as they all had just gotten the forward text from Wanda.

"Oh no is everything okay?" Morgan said

"Yeah.." Steve said

Back at UGA Brooklynn was pacing as the girls sat on her bed. "What am I suppose to do? Do you think he would believe me that its his baby if I told him? Do you think Morgan would understand I mean she would right? I mean she doesnt seem to car that he cheated. They are still together right.." she said without taking a breathe till the end.

"Actually Brooklynn..he never told Morgan the truth. He instead propose to her..and tonight was their engagement party." Tegan said

"Oh.." she said as she sat down on the chest at the end of her bed.

"B.." Natasha said

"I guess I'll do this alone then.." she said as she wiped tears.

"Brooklynn.." Hope said

She looked down as Natasha and Wanda hugged her. Brooklynn broke into tears. "We got you okay?" Hope whispered

"Yeah..screw him if he wants to pretend like it didn't happen." Tegan said

They all slept in Brooklyn's room that night. The next morning she was sleeping when she felt someone playing with her hair. She opened one eye to her mom.

"Mama?" She said

"Hey baby.." Monica Fitz said.

She hugged her so tight. "Shh baby its okay..your friends informed me of the little news you got last night." Monica said

She looked down. "So I was thinking that maybe me and you could go grab some brunch. We can talk about what you want to do?" Monica said

"Okay.." she said

Brooklynn got up she got dressed for the day. They headed out to a restaurant that did brunch. Bucky and Morgan drove up to the girls' house.

He knocked on the door as Morgan held her bag. Wanda answered the door.

"Buck..Morgan? What are you all doing here?" Wanda said

"You left before I could give you all something." Morgan said

"Oh.." Wanda said as she let them in.

They followed her into the living room. Morgan passed out 5 boxes when they opened them. They read the inside of her boxes that was asking them to be bridesmaids.

They all said yes. Wanda heard a car door. The front door open to reveal Brooklynn after she dropped her mom off at the airport. She looked down and went straight upstairs.

She slammed her door. "Morgan we should go..you have a flight to catch baby." Bucky said

"Yeah it might be best if you do that. We love you and we will be in touch Morgan." Natasha said

They practically shoved them out the door.

Two weeks later.

Wanda was sitting with Brooklynn in her mom's office. Dr Yelena Maximoff came into the room.

"Brooklynn its nice to see you. I wish it was different circumstances." Yelena said as she started to the exam.

After she did her exam Yelena said "Okay..so lets do a ultrasound."

She put the gel on her stomach she rubbed it all over. "Okay..here is the heartbeat..its a strong 180. Just the one baby. And lets see..mm I say you are measuring right at 10 weeks. You are due December 12th." Yelena said as Wanda ignored Steve's phone call for the third time. 

She printed off copies for her to have and for her chart. "We will see you back next month. When you are 20 weeks we will know the gender." Yelena said as they were walking out.
