I splashed the water on my face to wake myself up. I have to go to school in an hour. Yea, I wouldn't really get up this early, but I have so much hair that needs to be tamed. Its just everywhere. I would hardly call it hair. More like... a tree. That's what I look like, a tree. A tree from the movie The Lorax. Well except for the fact that my hair is black. Those trees are poofy, right? Well anyways, I normaly just brush it out and leave it down, but it always gets in the way. So I've decided to put it into a bun. The same bun that I use when I skate. A braided bun.

It didn't take very long. Shorter time than what I had thought it would have taken. After that was done and all my hair was pulled back, not a strand out of place, I slipped on some jeans and a baggy sweat shirt. It was grey and the jeans were black. This is how I dressed my my old shcool, just with some more color... and effort.

I made it down stairs with half an hour to spare. My mom had made us eggs and toast for breakfast. I sat down at the table and started to dig in. Maria wasn't far behind me. She had her dark brown hair curled into big ringlets and was wearing light blue skinny jeans with a yellow t-shirt. She looked amazing and her make up was done perfectly. Why does she have to be the pretty one? Wait, did I just think that?

We both finished eating at the same time and grabbed our bags before heading out the door. We both have cars and we both drive, but we like each others company. So we go together. Today, I was driving my little silver car with the tinted windows. This way no one can see us until we step out of the car.

The school was four blocks away. Wasn't very hard to find. Just like I had predicted, everyone was staring at us as we pulled up. I could tell already that the people had their clicks. Damn its one of those schools. "So I guess I'll see you after school then?" I whispered to Maria.

She smiled at me, "I wish this place wasn't like this. I really do. Remember I give you permission to beat anyone's ass if they give you a hard time."

I smiled back, "Ready for this?" We put our hands together and lifted them up as if we were a team. This was the sisterly love we had. I knew that for Maria to get to where she wants to be in the social ladder, she had to be mean to me. I was okay with it. If Maria wants to be top of the ladder, I would help her get there.

We both opened out doors at the same time and stepped out together. Everyone's eyes were on us. We walked in sinc towards the school. Her heels clicking on the pavement and the suttle whispers coming from our new classmates were all I could here. Nothing big was happening. I actually found it a little too quiet.

We found our way to the office pretty easily. In no time we had our scheduals and we were starting our adventure of high school. High school in a whole different country. "I have History, Math, Spare and Gym." Maria smiled at me.

"I have English, Science, Sports and Gym." I smiled back.

"show them sports jocks that they got nothing on you." She laughed.

"Make the cheer team," I waved her a goodbye before we went out seaperate ways. This wasn't going to be so bad. I love sports and English. I guess this is a good start. With a little bit of dificulty, I found my class. The teacher gave me a locker before class had even started and I took a seat in the back of the room next to the window. Not too long after the bell rang and the rest of the students came in.

"Miss, can you please introduce yourself to the class," The teacher, who's name has slipped my mind, asked me with a smile.

I stood up and made my way to the front of the class. I sighed and scanned the faces in the room, the all looked like sluts and jocks, "My name is Evelyn. I'm from Canada and I like sports." I looked at the teacher before she nodded and I was able to go back to my seat.

"You like sports?" Some kid beside me asked me once I had sat down.

I turned to him, "Yes, so? What of it?"

"Girls don't do sports." He furrowed his eye brows in confusion, "Wel not here anyways."

"You are not welcome here." Some slut in front of me spat towards me. Well sorry for assuming she is a slut but she really looks like one. The short jean skirt and tight pinks shirt kinda gives it away.

"Um, okay?" I looked at her.

"You are a tom boy. Tom boy's aren't welcome here. You should go back to where ever you came from. With your stupid igloo's and maple syrup."

"Canada?" I raised an eye brow at her.

She glared at me before turning around. Well I don't like her. And who the hell lives in an igloo?
