"Winter?"
There were three loud dynamic raps on the door. WInter sighed. It had been a laborious day, calming the scavengers. Winter sighed yet again, looking at the sun above the distant wall of ice that marked the start of the Ice Kindom. He wished he could return back there. He missed the touch of fluffy, white snow and the chilliness of ice. He apprehensively trudged up to the door to be met by a sky blue Seawing. " You have a visitor."
"They can come in."
The Seawing, Riptide, jumped out of the way to let in an outlandish Rainwing. It was a Rainwing in a way but it also wasn't. It had leaf-shaped wings and a leaf-shaped tail. It was the strangest phenomenon Winter had ever seen. There was only one possible way that they could that idiosyncratic and that was because that dragon was a hybrid. "Are you a Rainwing?", Winter queried, studying the strange feature of the dragon.
"Half", The dragon said in a pusillanimous whisper.
Of course, the dragons from the Lost Continent. "What's your name", Winter asked yet again.
"Amazon."
"If you want, you can live here with the Talons of Peace," Winter said, spreading his wings in welcome
Amazon nodded and hesitantly settled on the empty bed at the entrance as if the bed with burst into fire. He settled on the bed and started examining his talons. So he's from another continent. I wonder If there are any other types of dragons. I wonder If Moon knows yet. I wish he would tell me more. After Riptide had gone out of earshot, Winter asked, " Do you want me to show you around?"
"Sure", Amazon responded as if Winter just said a paradox.

"I designed The Sanctuary but Riptide helped me build it. There are lots of scavengers around which are cute, furry creatures. I'm studying scavenger behavior. Scavengers are really fascinating. They can sculpt statues and are really smart." Even smarter than Qibli "The village is behind us and finally, the garden. It's not complete and might take a few years to grow the trees."
"I can help with that", Amazon whispered delicately.
"YOU CAN?" WInter asked in bewilderment before jumping back in surprise as the little, sporadic saplings burst into trees and grew up and up, reaching out for the clear sky. They were like giant obelisks or rockets.
"How did you do that?" Winter questioned incredulously.
"Leasfspeak"
They headed back to their beds with the day slowly turning into twilight behind them. Their chatter rang out into the night. They continued to chat spontaneously in bed, too excited to sleep and when the dark night sky turned pitch black except for the weakly shimmering stars, only then is when Winter thought, "Amazon is stronger than he seems. Maybe he has more hidden abilities. Maybe he's dangerous. Just maybe..." Then, WInter's mind slowly sank into the land of dreams.

Winter felt as if he immediately woke up as he slept. The sky was now streaked with pink and splashes of purple along with lines of dark blue. He decided that today was the day he would bring Amazon to his friends. And maybe, if everything goes well, I could tell them a little secret I've been keeping for years. I hope Qibli hasn't done anything. I must remember to always be calm and kind.
Winter waited until Amazon had woken up and tucked into breakfast that WInter had made. Then, he asked Amazon," Do you want to go to visit my friends with me?"
Amazon nodded in reply.
Winter looked out at the scorching desert, stretching as far north as he could see. Qibli was out there, and Moon. Moon, the most attractive Winter had ever seen. With her black-green eyes, her black scales, the underside of her wings which pictured a starry night sky and her two silver teardrop scales at either side of her eyes.
Winter waited for Amazon to finish breakfast before setting out into the hot atmosphere of the desert with the radiant sun, battering every part of Winter's scales.

"WINTER! WATCH OUT!", echoed through the mountains and reverberated around the walls of rock. He was bewildered. He spun around just in time to see a gigantic boulder detach itself from the peak of a mountain. Was it just his eyes deceiving him or was there a dragon on top of the peak? Winter tried harder to focus but the dragon-like silhouette had vanished into thin air. His clarity was clouded as whisps of dust flew to him.
He tried to lift himself off the ground but his legs were stuck to the ground. Next to him, Amazon was trying the same thing. Winter stared in horror as the boulder moved ominously towards them...
