I floated aimlessly off my high and resurfaced reality. Dr.Wells wrote me an Rx for some low dose Norco. I won't be taking anymore Dilaudid, he could forget that. He also gave me a week off with PTO which was only 3 days. I declare after a day like I had a week off was much needed. What a day, what a day.
Ethan insisted on carrying me everywhere, even outside the hospital. He felt me sitting up in a wheelchair would hurt too bad. My trusted knight. I don't know how I ever resisted him. I lay reclined all the way in his passenger seat of his Bentley Continental.
"I don't feel like we're going the right way, Ethan," I said through pained breaths. I could see the tall buildings lighting the night sky from out the windshield as I glanced up.
"We are. Relax. You're coming home with me. Where I can take care of you." He looked back to me with one hand on the steering wheel and the other rubbing my knee.
When we arrived at the valet, Ethan instructed the guy to have our bags sent up. Ethan opened my door and squatted beside me. Displaying those Spartacus warrior thighs in those clad blue jeans. He reached beneath the bend of my knees and behind my upper back. Scooping me out, then carried me through the entire building, barely lifting his gaze from my wondering eyes.
"I'm going to run you a hot bath, and then I'm going to wash you," he said while walking us through the elevator of his pent.
"That sounds pleasant," I said while combing through the back of his soft hair as he stared at me tirelessly. He placed me down onto the couch--placing a pillow at my head and one beneath my heels.
"Don't go anywhere."
"I'll try my best." the smile permanently etched onto my face.
He took off up the stairs while I laid patiently replaying the events of my life this week. I feel as though I'm in a lucid dream. My Dilaudid was wearing off because the jabbing pain in my left side was coming back. I reached in my pocket for a Norco, having to sit up to gather myself. I needed to go to the kitchen that was approximately 20 miles away from his couch. I braced myself with my right hand to try to stand.
"What the hell are you doing!?" Ethan bellowed, causing me to jump slightly.
"I need some water to take with this pill." my facial grimacing was proof enough of why I should not contest Ethan with this matter. I sat back down. He looked at me with his arms folded and his face delightfully pissed. "But if you insist..." I curtsy my hand at him. He tilted his head to me and walked backwards into the kitchen as if I'm a misbehaving child who he couldn't keep his eyes off. I kept my eyes on the savagely beautiful man in front of me.
Ethan returned with me a bottle of water, handing it off to me, running his eyes over me like I was broken transmission.
"What is it!?" I said with the bottle to my lip after popping the Norco in. He gnawed at that bottom lip. I could tell something was on that beautiful mind of his. Ethan grabbed at the bottom of his sweater and pulled both it and his t-shirt over his head. Giving me access to his splendid stack of six-pack and pecs. He looked lickable. He tossed his sweater and T-shirt at my foot and began undoing his jeans. "O wow... I'm getting a show," I said while trying to put my legs back onto the sofa. He replied with an explicit look in his eyes. Then stepped out of his low top Chuck Taylors. Removed his socks and placed them inside the shoes, putting them aside. He came out of his jeans standing before me in only his grey Armani briefs. My body twitched a little when he removed those allowing the escape of his large erection to swing freely before me. I swallowed. Maybe even drooled a bit. He kneeled beside me and reached behind my neck to undo the tie of the hospital gown. Unsnapped the silver buttons on each sleeve, peeling the gown from off me slowly. His face twisted at the large deep marooned bruise to my left rib cage and abdomen.
