P.A: Nurse Cala Jones report to trauma, please. Nurse Cala Jones report to trauma, please.

Damn! I was only trying to piss! I exited the stall to wash my hands.

"Hey girl!"

"Hi, Ambrosia, how are you?" This girl was the epitome of dumb blondes. A bright eyed bushy tailed bimbo. Somewhere in America, they're handing out nursing licenses.

"I'm good. O.M.G! I love your hair today. How'd you get it so curly?" my hair looked the same as every other day.

I dried my hands under the turbo dryers as I mentally disregarded her existence.

"Water..."

"HUH!?"

"WATER!! I HAVE TO RUN. SORRY!" I pointed up indicating the announcement over the P.A system for me.

Ambrosia waved me off as I sprinted down the hall to appear more urgent than I cared to be.

Once I returned to the station I saw no new admits had arrived. My patient was getting ready to move upstairs..... sooo who needed me?

"I love it when you run." Dr. Stevens said from behind me. I could hear him smiling into my back.

"What we got?" I turned and snatched the chart from out his hand.

"Oh, that was from this morning...I have to finish my progress note." he leaned against the counter.

"Then who called me up here?" I handed him back his chart, confused.

"I did. I wanted to know how was your weekend?" He sat the chart onto the desk and turned into me for my full attention. I could tell he caught my annoyed expression by the smile playing on his lips.

"No you didn't. You did not call me over the PA to ask me about my weekend." I said with the flattest tone. He could not be serious.

"You got me. I wanted to see you, and watch you run." He smiled spinning off to one of the beds. I watched him jump right into professionalism greeting the husband of his patient. He smiled respectfully and shook the gentlemen's hand before taking his stethoscope to the lady's chest. He stood next to her bed and explained his diagnosis and treatment plan to the couple. The lady held out her hand for Dr. Stevens to take. He cupped her hand in his, patting it gently. "I promise, you'll be out of here in time for your anniversary. I'm going to take great care of you."

"Thank you, Doctor." the husband stood up to meet Dr. Stevens at the end of the bed and hugged him. It was a genuine site. Seth walked back over to me and his eyes shifted from a professional doctor to a playboy flirt.

"People love me, Jones, you should give it a try." He took his chart and headed around the corner. "My office for lunch Jones!" he yelled out carelessly. I rolled my eyes and took my seat behind the desk.

Lunchtime and both my real life friends were off today. Lorissa was running errands this morning and I knew Randy was asleep at noon.

I trudged into the nursing station to get away from the chaos on the floor. There was always moon pies and graham crackers.

"I knew you wouldn't listen," Seth walked in and sat down across from me, stretching his long legs so that his foot could knock mine. "I said we were to have lunch in my office today, Jones" he sniveled, tossing one arm behind his seat. He looked up as Ambrosia walked in. His eyes followed the bimbo until she walked behind me.

"I'll pass," I stated dryly, before glancing over to Ambrosia suggestively. He shook his head and mouthed airhead, I almost died trying to hold in my laugh. He stood up with his hand held out to me. I gave him my hand, he took it in admiration, studying it front and back. I stood up slowly watching him.
