Sword Fighting

I woke up the next morning with a split banging headache. I got ready and headed towards the dining pavilion for breakfast. As I got out of my cabin I saw him coming out of his cabin 3. Just my luck. When his eyes caught mine, a flash of hurt went over them. Did I make him feel that bad? Was I being over reactive? NO he deserved it and more, my logic side of my brain was saying. But it wasn't his fault. Maybe Rachel forced herself on him. My heart kept saying and praying. Deciding to be the smart one, I ignored both and made my way to the dining pavilion.

After breakfast Chiron wanted everyone to come to the arena for sword fighting. He said that he was going to show us some new skill that we needed to be able to survive in a fight with an enemy.

As everyone filled the arena Chiron stood at the front and showed the basic methods needed to fight.

"Right. I need two volunteers" he shouted so everyone could hear. When no one volunteered he decided to pick the two himself. How much I wished someone had volunteered.

"Percy and Annabeth"

As I made my way down I could feel eyes on me everywhere.

"These two will demonstrate for us"

When I looked around in the crowd I saw Rachel wink at someone. The someone was Percy which angered me more.

I lunged forward and attacked. He immediately reacted by crossing his sword with my dagger, metal meeting metal making sparks fly.

"Annabeth I'm sorry for everything. I shouldn't have abandoned you when you needed me most" he said whilst we carried on fighting.

Ugh!!! I was getting angrier by the minute. "Shut up" I shouted

Percy thrust forward but I dodged and swung at his head. "You left me Percy. How do you think I can forgive you after that?"

Percy ducked and swung at me. "I know Annabeth and I said I was sorry what do you want me to do I'll do anything"

"Nothing" I shouted as I swung at him again. We exchanged blows after blows which much accuracy and power. I leaned toward him, judo flipped him making his sword clatter on the floor and held my dagger to his throat as he lay on the ground me hovering over him.

"You're just like Luke"

As I got up I could feel Percy getting up behind me. Everyone's eyes were on us shocked and stunned to silence. But that didn't stop Percy form carrying the argument on.

"I am nothing like Luke" he said. Everyone looked in horror as to what was going on.

"YES YOU ARE!!"

"HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT? I DIDN'T BETRAY THE GODS AND MY FAMILY. I DIDN'T TURN MY BACK ON THE GODS WHEN THEY NEEDED ME. I AM NOTHING LIKE LUKE AND I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD SAY THAT."

"BUT YOU LEFT ME PERCY. YOU LEFT ME WHEN I NEEDED YOU MOST. WHERE WERE YOU THEN? HUH. WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT MY FAMILY WERE IN A CAR CRASH? WHEN THEY SAID THAT BOBBY COULD NEARLY DIE? WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I FOUND OUT MY DAD HAD CANCER AND I NEEDED A FRIEND PERCY? YOU WERE NEVER THERE YOU WERE ALWAYS WITH RACHEL. IT WAS ALWAYS RACHEL. WAS SHE YOUR BEST FRIEND FROM THE BEGINNING BECAUSE IT SURE AS HADES FELT LIKE IT?"

After i took a deep breath, I could see Percy's jaw drop. He wasn't expecting that was he. Then I realised that all the campers were watching us and I was crying. I ran out to my cabin before anyone could say anything.
