"Kay!I can't find my phone" Amber says with a frown.
"It's in your bag remember?" I take my eyes off the road and look at her.
She rolls her eyes at herself and laughs."Oh yeah.Thanks babe." She takes off her seatbelt and kisses me on the lips.
She twists her midsection and reaches for her backpack.
She grunts for a couple of seconds and sits back in her seat frustrated.
"I can't reach it."she blows her bangs out of her face and half-stands to reach for the bag again.
"Aha!Got it"she says with a laugh and I turn to her with a smile.She sits back in her seat still smiling....then she is frowning....I see her eyes widen and I turn back to the road and see a blue Range Rover swerving to my side of the road.
I see what happens as if in a trance.
I distinctly hear Amber call my name and the sound of glass breaking.I try to lift my hand to hold Amber's hand but I can't.
My ears are ringing and I can't see a thing anymore.
I hear muffled footsteps and a female voice shout "Kayden!"
And then all goes dark.
