Feet pounding....
A male voice shouting my name....
Help!!!somebody help me!!!!
"You can run but you can't hide sweetheart.C'mon wait up!!"
I run faster ignoring the cuts on my bare feet and the trees snagging at my dress like sinister hands.
I can see the road now.
I increase my pace and my foot touches the tarmac.
Relief...and then laughter
"Got you"He whispers in my ear.
"Joel nooooo!" I sit up in the bed and look around wildly.
Thea is standing beside me.
She touches my hair then withdraws her touch.
"You okay?"she asks quietly.
I look around.
I'm in a hospital bed and I have an IV inserted in my left arm.
Why I'm i-
The accident comes flashing back
Kayden and Amber.
"Kayden and Amber are they-"I choke out.
"Kayden is in surgery, Amber's family is here.i didn't know who to call for you though.Your parents' number is not in the phone."she says sitting next to me and holding my right hand.
"I have no one"I whisper hoarsely.
Thea nods and just squeezes my hand.
It was just a dream it's not real.
