When Samantha woke up, Harry was already gone.  It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why.  She felt like she weighed a thousand pounds as she took a shower and got ready for the day.  Only when she walked into the kitchen to see a muffin sitting on the counter did she let the tears that had been threatening to come out finally show themselves.

She should have had the discussion with him about her feelings where marriage were concerned.  She just didn't think it would ever be something they'd decide to do.  She made the mistake of assuming she knew how Harry would feel about it.

She put the muffin into some tupperware and put it in the refrigerator.  If she ate now, she'd puke.

She trudged her way back into the room.  Her interview was in a few hours and she needed to make sure she was ready.

Though she knew with what had happened last night the last thing she'd be able to focus on would be an interview.

Music was pulsating out of every speaker in the studio but Harry barely heard any of it.  He'd desperately been trying to keep his mind on the writing session but all he could think about was Samantha's face last night when he'd said there was no wiggle room in her problems with marriage.

She was blank.  No reaction.  Nothing.  She wasn't even going to deny what Mia said was true.  Harry knew that Samantha had certain issues with attachment.  He had been under the impression they'd worked through it.  Sure, he didn't like it when they were apart, but he challenged any couple as in love as they were to jump for joy when they had to leave each other.

And he just couldn't figure out why she hadn't told him about her rather intense feelings towards marriage.  He couldn't help but think he had something to do with that despite Mia stating Samantha had always felt that way.

"Earth to Harry..."  He heard his writing partner, Mitch's, voice break into his thoughts.

Harry sprang to life,

"Huh?  What?"  He quickly felt like an ass when he realized Mitch had been talking to him and he hadn't heard a word, "Sorry."  He apologized.

Mitch set his notebook down on the console,

"Wanna talk about it?"

"No."  Harry answered quickly, "Yes."  He corrected.  He squeezed his eyes shut, "I dunno."

Mitch set his pen down and waited patiently knowing full well Harry would purge without provocation when he was ready.

Harry took a breath,

"Sarah...and you..."  He began slowly, "You've talked about marriage, yeah?"

Mitch shrugged,

"Here and there."

"And she has feelings about it..."

Mitch nodded,

"She does."

"Did she discuss those feelings with you?"

"Yeah.  She told me how she felt the first time we talked about it."

Harry's palm slapped against the table,

"See?  That's what-"  He stopped abruptly, "That's how it should be."  He said under his breath.

Mitch raised his eyebrows,

"Did something happen with Sam?"

Harry chewed on his lip,

"Last night at dinner with Mia...Mia said Samantha didn't wanna get married."

"Ever?"

Harry shrugged,
