Harry and Samantha arrived at the venue together, which was why he found it so annoying he couldn't find hide nor hair of her at the moment.  She'd disappeared to find something for the show a couple hours ago and he hadn't seen her since.  Harry wasn't normally a superstitious person but he and Samantha had worked out a bit of a routine before each show and he'd come to rely on it.  They would take a moment to themselves before he got dressed.  Just sit together and eat some dinner and some light conversation with no one else bothering them.

Dinner was here.

Samantha wasn't.

He looked down at his watch.  Harry had never been one to stand around and wait so he set out to find his girlfriend.  He was just coming out from the catering room when he ran into a familiar face making her way down the corridor towards him.

He smiled,

"Hello Mia."

She smiled in return,

"Hello Harry."  She went in for a hug, wrapping her arms around his shoulders for a quick squeeze before stepping away, "I happen to be looking for my best friend and to be honest, I'm kind of shocked she's not with you."

Harry snorted,

"You're not the only one."

Mia raised her eyebrows,

"You dunno where she is?"

Harry shook his head,

"She walked off a bit ago to find something and I haven't seen her since."

Mia shrugged.  She tapped Harry's shoulder,

"How are you anyway?  How was the tour?"

"It was great.  Did you fly in for the show?"

She nodded,

"Sam asked me if I wanted to take a vacation and I said hell yes.  So here I am."

"I hear the store is doing well.  Second one opening soon?"

"In a few days.  Sam said you'd show up."

Harry might have been annoyed he was committed to something without being asked but Samantha knew how much he loved Mia's cupcakes,

"We will absolutely be there.  I heard a rumor you have cheesecake stuffed in some places."
Mia laughed,

"New flavor.  I hope it's popular."

"It will be."  Harry assured her.

When he'd invested in Mia's cupcake shop a year ago, it had been one of the best decisions in his life.  Her shop had exploded in popularity.  Popularity that had nothing to do with him.  Her cupcakes were featured in many lifestyle articles in London publications and she had quickly been placed on the list of tourist must-sees.  It was no shock that she was opening up another shop in just one year.

"Hey, hey, hey..."  Harry heard Samantha's voice behind him.

She was out of breath and in a rush as she jogged towards them.  She pecked a quick kiss to Harry's mouth,

"Sorry."  She apologized, "Got stuck in traffic."

"Struck in traffic?"  Harry asked in confusion while Samantha moved on to hugging Mia, "Where the hell did you go?"  He asked when she turned back to him.

Samantha pulled some hair out of her face,.

"Just..."  She waved her hand, "Somewhere."

"Oh."  Harry finally answered, "Somewhere...that's good."  He turned to Mia, "Well...will you be joining us for dinner?"
