"No," Sariya said. "I'm tired of being used and not having my own voice. I don't need your protection or anyone's for that matter. Just tell us where we can go."
John bowed ever so slightly towards her. "As you wish, but might I say that I think you are making a mistake."
"Ah, yes, but you don't know who I am and what I'm capable of. I'm the girl who is rumored to be able to destroy the Aceiavay, so maybe you should know that I have powers beyond your imagination. I don't need to destroy them with The People."
John nodded. "As you wish. You may not need us, but we need you. I hope that in time, you will see the plight of the people and decide you may want to help. When you do, we will be here. As for you, Luke, your mother will be very disappointed. She was so hoping you would lead alongside with her. That has always been her wish for you even if you didn't know it. I will send coordinates to your pod with a contact."
Luke sighed. "I know she cares for me, but I know The People come before anything else for her. Thank you, John." With that, they took leave of him and followed the coordinates John gave them. Luke peered at her. "I'm sorry for dragging you into this. I thought I was doing the right thing in finding you, but now I know better."
Sariya placed her hand over his. "Thank you for giving the choice. No matter what happens, I'll always appreciate that." Luke smiled and clutched her hand tightly.
