-Matthias' POV-

Life is pretty awesome. A new job, a new car, and a new Playstation to top the list. But every day I always get this sinking feeling. I can't live a real life. I can't die. Countries are immortal. You know, humans are so stupid thinking that being able to live forever is the best thing since Danish beer. Let me tell you this: Being immortal means that you watch everything age, decay, wither, and die. Everything you love, everything you know, it all changes. Don't get me wrong, change is good. But when you live a life when everything is aging but you, you feel so old and helpless. If it weren't for the fact that I'm not the only one with this problem, I would have gone insane, if I haven't already. Alfred, Francis, Lars, and even Lukas can attest to the fact that being immortal sucks. But I try to make the best of the situation. If you're going to live forever, why not just go crazy and have fun. Man, I wish Lukas lived like this. I sighed. Why am I still thinking to myself? Then, just then, I got what must have been the best, and perhaps even the only, good idea I'd ever had. I hadn't seen my old Nordic buddies for, what, 10 years? Ten years was far too long. When we were younger, we used to to rule the world together, Lukas, Berwald, and I. Then my bros Emil and Tino came along, and we became a happy Nordic family. But even though we don't age, we do change. Times change, people change, and priorities change. Berwald settled down with Tino, Emil went on to become an author, and Lukas was probably just rolling in his own money, probably listening to a-ha and watching Alt For Norge or some stupid Norwegian soap opera. Not like I'm much for stereotypes, though. Anyway, Christmas was approaching, and I wanted to spend the holidays with the closest thing I had to family. So, I send an email to the rest of the Nordic Five.

Dear Nordic Five,

Hejjjjjjjjj!!!!

Matthias here. I want us to get together this Christmas and, you know, spend some quality time. And what better place to spend it than New York City, all the way in America! I've paid for all your expenses, so hop on the earliest flight tomorrow and meet me at the Rockefeller Center skating rink! I'll be waiting there all day for you guys.

Lots and lots and lots and lots of looooove,

Matthias
