"How do you like it here, Alex?" His mom asked, studying him from across the large dining table.
     "It's... Okay," he replied lowly.
I stole a glimpse of the moody Alex by my side. He was just playing with the food on his plate and never taking a single bite.
"What you staring at Miss Boring?" He whispered. A small smile made its way out of my lips. So he was still the same irritating Alex, just playing pretense before his family.

"Shut up!" I whispered back, looking around if anyone was watching us. Just in time to find   her eyes on me. The scowl was hot and threatening. Like she could reach out and strangle the skinny soul out of me.

Windy took the bed at the door while I slept on the one near the balcony doors.
"I'm starting to love it here so much," the female said after splaying herself on the large soft surface.
I sighed placing the laptop to my right and look at her relaxed frame. "I've never been in a countryside, but this one feels awesome."

"That's so sweet Windy, the best part is yet to come...riding horses."
"Shut up!" She sprung up shocked. "You mean they got horses?"
"LOL! You didn't listen to a thing Stew said about this ranch eh! They technically breed horses."

"Sorry I didn't take notes Missy, jeez, you're so bossy. What has changed?"

I laughed. "Everything love, everything."

Alex raced down the green valley, Stew followed and all I could do was just stand there staring at the two males having a time of their life.
My eyes shifted back to the female struggling with a brown mare.

"Shit! Why are you so stubborn?"
I laughed edging closer to frustrated Windy.
But another frame got to her first.
"She only listens to me Windy," Phil stated taking away the reigns.

I tucked my hands inside my jeans pockets, allowing the two to have a little conversation.
"Oh I'm not so sure of that, she listens to Daisy too. Its like she's her master."

Phil's gaze stabbed me defensively.
    "Um... Not so much really."
She returned her eyes on the strong horse, going ahead to caress its mane while whispering something.

Suddenly, Alex's excited shout hit from behind. And he came riding his horse straight at me.
"Get out of the way Miss Boring!"
I ignored him and gazed back at Windy as she dusted off her boots.

"Daaaaisy!" Someone yelled my name. And the next thing I registered was the heavy weight knocking me to the ground.

I  yelped containing him, while a stiff groan from Alex as we rolled along the grass.
When we stopped moving, I laid on top of him, palms flat on his chest, faces closer than twins.
My breaths slapped Alex's face while trying to recollect my brain.

"Well that wasn't so bad," he whispered with a strange smile.
        "You're a psycho Alex!"
"A psycho that is keen to avoid hurting a weirdo as yourself MB."
I laughed shyly. Which amused me to the core because I was to never let the likes of Alex reach my inner vulnerable self.

The utter of his name from Phil's mouth jolted me back to the moment. I was still lying on the guy, probably giving him wild thoughts from the tight contact.
I rolled off and pushed myself to stand.

She abandoned the horse to come stand between Alex and I.
"We should probably race. I'm sure I'll beat yo-"
Alex laughed walking behind her to snatch me by the waist that I slammed right on his chest. Our eyes locked... What was he doing?

"I got a little girl to train how to ride."
I pushed him with a nervous laugh. "I'm not little you idiot!"
He chuckled spanking me, earning gasps from all three of us.
"Alex!" I cried slapping his chest, trying hard to hide away the blush.

"What? Your whining only proves you're a little girl that needs to suck."
I punched him at the ribs, this time, feeling so embarrassed.
"Enough now, you gonna teach me or just-" His hand covered my mouth to cut down all the words.

Alex looked over at Windy. "She talks a lot eh?"
    "Damn right!" Windy supported.

So now she was taking sides with that damned bastard!
I sent a warning scowl at windy as Alex dragged me to his horse by the arm.

Looking down at the valley, I caught Stew racing the white mare. His hair bounced to the wind blowing past him.
"It's not so scary, I promise," Alex whispered in my ear from behind.

It felt so weird in that position, with my bottom arched directly at his loin.
"Do I look scared of a little run?"
   He chuckled taking the reigns.
"Acting tough eh! I love your spirit little girl. Now buckle up, you're up for a bumpy ride."

I glanced back at the two females on separate horses. Windy shot a mischievous grin before pulling the reigns.
         "Let's do this guys."

"You ready?"
My head angled a little to try and steal a glimpse of Alex's face. But it only had our lips an inch apart.
"What? Do you need a good luck kiss Daisy?"

A heavy lump blocked my throat foolishly.
So it was confirmed, I hadn't gotten over my crush at Mr Universe. Yet that would change nothing. I wasn't ready to have my heart brutally broken and stomped upon.
"Definitely not from you you idiot!" I growled to cover up my desire to feel his lips.

"Suit yourself Missy." That's all it took, he set the horse in motion.

I let the wind  blow away my worries, allowed myself to breathe in the wild fresh air.
But it was difficult keeping balance if not for the strong support of Alex's arms... They kept me steady and  on board while racing against the other three horses.
