ALEX'S POV
My housemate was still asleep when I got back. After deleting Daisy's call from Stew's phone, I placed it on the night table.
He groaned rolling, "Alex you bas..." It slowly faded in a heartbeat. And the room fell into a deafening silence as usual.

I chuckled sliding on top of my bed... Whatever I had always been thinking of in the past nights of my twenty-two years felt dim tonight. I just stared at the ceiling thoughtless, with only the embarrassed face of a girl called Daisy in mind. She'd be fun to play with in the party. I'd make her do whatever I wanted to make fun of her cloistered life. Damn! She always acted hard to get. Or was it the fact that her dad was a pastor?
* * *

"ALEX!"
The pan in my hand dropped on the burner... What followed next was a naked body covered by foam running in the kitchen. With such a blurred vision, Stew must have missed the door. He slammed right into it before falling on his butt hard.
"Oh man! What the hell is wro-"
He groaned massaging his forehead while I grabbed a kitchen towel and threw it at the naked frame. "Have you seen a ghost in the bath-" "Shut up! Did you ask my sister out?" He barked covering his groin with the towel.

"Not really, I only informed her about the party and she begged to be my date. I mean..." I rolled my eyes provokingly, "Any girl would do that."
Oh, the fury in those eyes was enough to burn down an entire forest. Which I enjoyed every bit of it.
Stew plunged forward and I ran behind the center counter to avoid his attack. "You're going to hurt yourself real bad Stew."

"Shut up you sick brain. Cancel that date!"
He started chasing me and I ran out of the kitchen. Again, bumping into someone.

She squeaked falling to the floor. Only this time, she fell alone while I jumped aside to regain balance. "You again! Oh, Stew, my date's here." He stopped at the doorway. Daisy's frightened face scared Stew back into the kitchen.

"What are you doing here?" The head popping from the door questioned down at the girl.

Daisy's eyes flew up at me.
"Mr Universe asked me to-" "Now don't draw me in this honey. Sort your sibling issue girl."

Her mouth dropped.
Man, I loved getting her in trouble.
"Daisy? What did Alex do to make you-" "Hey! Shut up man. Bro code."
Stew snapped angrily, "Get your ass out of here Alex. I want to talk with my sister."
My hands surrendered. "Okay, I'm going."
With the expression masking Daisy, I pushed a warning smirk at her. She'd regret telling Stewart anything.

The main door pushed open as I headed for the hallway. "Alex!" Heck! That irritating voice again. I turned plastering the most pleased smile. "Nora, I was just thinking about you honey."
She dropped her shopping bags behind the door and threw her hands up at my neck. "Oh Mr. Handsome, I had missed you so badl-" The taste of her lipstick made my stomach churn. Why did she always wear so much makeup? And the deeply scented feminine perfume poked my lungs whenever she was around.

You should take classes from the boring Daisy sometimes girl, I thought retreating my hands from her waist.
"Oh, Stew! And...what's your name again?"
Had she? Oh god! Why did she always act so rude to Daisy? Nora had no reason to be jealous of Miss Boring at all.
"Daisy." Miss Boring reminded from far behind. "I was on my way out."

As Daisy rushed past me, I grabbed her arm and held her by my side. "Nora, meet Daisy Wilson. Daisy, this is Nora, my ex. Nora, this is my new chic."
Daisy immediately gasped trying to move away from me.
"Nora, don't listen to him. He's just-" "Oh shut up Daisy. This has always been your plan."
The furious blue pair shot up at me from Daisy's height. "I always expected this Alex. You're such a player for chrissake."

The sarcasm was too much.
"Says the girl who got laid by my cousin last night."
The pretty face turned to a field of embarrassment and guilt. Caught. That's how cheaters reacted. "Thought I'd never find out Miss Player?"
The body spooned to my hip wriggled. Buy I paid little attention to her. Only focused on Nora. Her eyes went completely sparkling with shame and some crocodile tears. "Get the hell out of here before I lose my mind, Nora."

She didn't argue. After darting Daisy a threatening scowl, Nora picked up her bags and rushed out.

I let go of Daisy.
"I'm sorry about that Daisy. I needed someone to act the girlfriend part."
She cleared her throat pushing back some hair strands. "It's...it's okay." The pair of shy eyes met mine.
"I...I... Please don't mention that to Stew 'cause he'll kill me ruthlessly if he hears it."
Daisy faked a composed smile. Yet deep down, she was tensed. She always was in a rush around me. "It's okay Alex. I won't tell my brother a thing I promise."
