A New Beginning (Avengers Fanfiction)

Chapter One

The next day was Tony's funeral, and Peter was in no way, shape or form ready. He just felt as if he'd break down in tears at any moment.

All the people who were influenced by Tony came. The Avengers, The Guardian's of the Galaxy, Pym's family, Clint and his family, the royal Wakandian family, Nick Fury and even Harley came.

Steve, Thor, Rhodey, Pepper, Peter and Morgan were inside the cabin, listening to Tony's recorded message. It showed  Tony sitting on a chair, talking about the last five years, the battle and his sacrifice. Even though he recorded it before the battle, he was sure that he will die saving the universe. He didn't want to, of course, but he couldn't fight his destiny.

In the end, Tony bent down to look at his daughter and said, "I love you three thousand." Morgan looked at the hologram of her father, with tears in her eyes.

They all exited the house. Pepper was in the front, holding Morgan in one hand and with the other, she held a memorial. Following her was Peter, his fists were clutched, trying to stop himself from crying.

Pepper, alongside Peter and Morgan, stepped closer to the edge of the lake that was located in front of their house, and Pepper let go of the memorial.

The memorial was one of the first arc reactors that Tony built. The phrase proof that Tony Stark has a heart was engraved on it, and flowers were surrounding it.

After the funeral, everybody went home, well most people did. Thor went off with the Guardians, he gave up his throne in Asgard for Valkyrie.

Steve, Bucky, Sam and Hulk were behind the house. Steve had the stones and Mjolnir and he needed to return them to their correct timelines. Peter watched from afar as Steve got sucked into the time machine, but he didn't come back in time. Instead, an old Steve Rogers came back and handed his shield over to Sam.

At that moment, Peter had an idea, but he wasn't sure he can do it, so he didn't think about it any further, but the idea was still in the back of his mind.

He walked inside the house and up to his room. His mom was in the living room and his sister was in her room.

These few days had been the hardest and most stressful days of his whole life. First the fight, then losing Tony and his aunt, and now they are working on the adoption papers because Pepper is adopting Peter.

He changed into a red hoodie and navy sweatpants, then he sat on his bed. There was a picture of him and Tony on his nightstand. He picked it up and admired it, remembering his times with his mentor.

The idea from before popped up in his head again, and he started thinking about it. He knew that doing it was dangerous, but he was desperate to have Tony back, so he decided to get help from the other heroes and see if they would do it.

His idea was basically another "time heist". They would go back in time and get the infinity stones, then they would snap every hero that died, back.

It was risky, and could potentially do damage to the timeline. But, if they don't repeat the mistakes from the first time heist, they could do minimum damage.

He moved to his desk and started thinking about his plan through. The first step was to assemble all the available heroes; so, he thought of the easiest one to contact.

At a restaurant in downtown,

"So, let me get this straight. You want to pull off another time heist, so you could recover the stones from the past, then snap Tony back." Professor Hulk asked.

Peter nodded and waited for his answer.

Right now, he was sitting in the diner that Hulk (professor Hulk) works at. He needed his help to make sure they did everything perfectly.

"You don't have to go back in time with us, I just need your help because you're the only one who understands how time travel works," Peter explained.

Hulk hesitated before answering, "Alright, fine. I'll help you. But you have to understand what you're doing is risky."

Peter nodded in understanding and grinned in victory. The next stop is the hawk's nest.
