A New Beginning (Avengers Fanfiction)

Chapter Three

Two days later, the team was assembled at the compound. Peter was standing in front of the holograms that showed the stones and its locations through history. And the rest of the team was sitting down, some on the couch and some of the desk chairs.

Hawkeye was listening to Peter talk about the stones, he couldn't help but remember the last time he and the avengers were sitting like that, discussing the first time heist.

"Alright, so we know where the stones are. We have to pick the safest and best time to get them from." Peter said.

Nick was leaning on the table, listening to the teen, "In 2011," he started, walking towards the holographic screen that showed the tesseract, "At Shield's base, the tesseract is there. After Thor fought Loki, I got the tesseract and handed it to Doctor Selvig to do some experiments on it, then that led to the battle against Loki and his army of Chitauri. We can get the Space stone from there." He continued.

"That's Perfect! You and Thor are perfect for this mission." Peter said, "Groot and Rocket, do you know where we can get the power stone, you are the only ones that know a lot about it."

"Yeah, change 'know a lot about it' to almost being killed using it. But other than that, yeah, we know where we can get it from." Rocket said.

"I am Groot," Groot said.

"Yeah, that's what I just told them!"

"Calm down, fur face. Just tell us your plan already." Sam said.

"We can get it from Xandar. In 2014 after our battle against Ronin, the Nova Corps took the stone to keep it safe. But obviously, that didn't work, because Thanos destroyed their planet and got the Orb."

"Okay, You and Groot will go get it. Now, the time stone. Doctor Strange, you had the stone in your possession, do you know where we can get it from?"

"After the fight against Dormammu, the eye of agamotto was left at the sanctum. Wong and I can get it from there." Strange said, leaning back in his chair.

Peter nodded at him, "Mister Thor, do you know where we can get any of the stones?"

Thor snapped his head towards Peter. He wasn't really paying attention, "yeah, yeah. We can get the aether from 2013. My ex-girlfriend, Jane, stuck her hand into a rock once, and the aether got sucked into her. We can go get it from that rock before she does and then returns it after we're done with it."

"That's good, Mister Wilson and Barnes will go."

Sam and Bucky nodded at him.

"Now the mind stone. Wanda, I think you're the most familiar one with this stone."

"Yeah. I have the perfect time to go get it from." She said, looking at Clint. Clint understood what she meant.

"From 2015," He said. Wanda nodded her head and continued, "the first time we met was in 2015, Baron Wolfgang, a Hydra gang, had the sceptre. The avengers attacked their base. My brother and I were there at that time. Clint and I can go there, it should be easy for us."

"Okay, now the last stone is the soul stone. The hardest one to get. Shuri and I will go back to the final battle. Then we'll replace the stone with a fake one. We'll return here, use it. Then return it to the right moment. We should put it back before Thanos and Tony fight hand-to-hand."

Thor stood up and walked over to Peter, putting his hand on his shoulder, "Are you sure you want to do this, Tonyson?"

Peter's eyes teared up and he nodded.
"I'm trusting you. We all are. This is extremely dangerous, and we merely managed to do it the first time. We all know the type of relationship you had with Stark. I get how you're feeling, most of us here lost someone we love during battles. You should know that we all have your back, no matter what happens."

Everybody nodded their heads. "Let's do this," Peter said.

The team headed to the Stark Residency, each wearing their time GPS and carrying two Pym particles. They chose a time when Pepper would be at work.

When they arrived, they headed to the time machine that stood behind the house. A boy, about Peter's age, was standing behind the control panel next to Morgan. Peter walked up to him, "Hey, Harley. Thanks for looking after Morgan."

"Hey. And, no problem. We had a good time together. Right, Morgan?" He asked the toddler standing next to him.

"We played with the stuff in the garage!" Morgan said, cheerfully.

"Great to hear, Morgie," Peter said. He turned to look at the Avengers standing behind him, "Guys, This is Harley. He helped Tony a long time ago, and we became friends afterwards. He is very good with mechanisms and technology, so he will help Professor Hulk."

He stepped to his soon-to-be-sister and crouched in front of her. "Morgie, I want you to stay with Harley, Okay? I'm going on a mission, and I will be back in seconds. If I don't, I want you to you know that I love both you and Pepper. Alright?" He said. His eyes teared up and he hugged her tightly. Once he let go, he wiped his eyes, put on a brave face and turned to face his team.

They all stepped onto the machine and stood atop of it. They clicked on their control screen, and their suits, with masks, formed around their bodies.

Hulk and Harley looked at Peter for confirmation, and he nodded his head. The two clicked some keys on the panel, and the heroes got sucked into the machine.

And their mission began.
