5SOS Preferences and awkwardness

8: You die

Luke: I jolt up in the bed sheets as I am woken up by the sound of the fire alarm, making me frantically search for the beautiful girl who had been sleeping in my arms- to find her sleeping peacefully next to me.

"Y/N we have to go!" I Shake her softly, my voice coming out frantic and stressed. She looks up at me with wide eyes before she nods her head frantically.

"What's happening?" she yells over the sirens, our feet hitting the ground with thuds.

"I'm pretty sure there's a fire, but I don't know where?" I yell back to her, while pulling her body close to mine. We run out of our room and into the corridor, which is swarming with scared people running in every direction.

"Luke.." Y/N whimpers as she looks at me with fear in her eyes.

"Hey, we'll be okay, come on baby, let's get out of here." I assure her as I pull her down the corridor with me, our hands entwined tightly.

We manage to scale our way down to the second last floor, noticing just how increasingly worse each floor is looking as the minutes pass.

We start trying to make our way out of the hotel again as lights are flickering and walls are caving in, ash covering the both of us- coughs coming from y/n mouth which her hand is covering. People are pushing and shoving through the black smoke, constantly bumping into the two of us. 

Our clasped hands have grown sweaty from the heat, making the both of our grips loosen, and panic to swirl through my veins as I loose grip of her small hand.

"Y/N, Y/N!" I shout as I frantically try to find her in the midst of black smoke and screaming bodies.

The smoke increases but the bodies file out faster than before, only leaving behind those who were slumped on the ground, clinging to life. My heart is pounding against my rib cage as i search for her hair, her eyes, heck, even her bunny pajama's. 

"Y/N!" I scream out as moans sound all throughout the room.

After a minute of screaming out for her, I hear a small, oh so familiar cough from the love of my life, making me look over into the direction in which I  heard it from.

My heart almost stops at the sight of hear body, slumped and weakened. I run to Y/N's side where she is lying on the floor, soot covering her face, and blood poring from and opened wound on her head.

"Y/N! You're okay, you're going to be okay baby, I promise!" I cry as she looks up at me with sad eyes, tears making black trails down her face.

"Lu..ke." she coughs out- producing a wheezing sound, "I love you so much, I'm sorry." she whispers as the tears fall from my eyes continuously. 

"No, don't say goodbye, you're going to be fine, I love you!" I cry as she starts to lose consciousness, her neck resting against my arm.

"Y/N!" I scream as she closes her eyes that have been my light source for so long. "Don't give up on me!". 

I lift her up and run down the last flight of stairs, eventually running out of the burning building with her unconscious body held in my arms.

When I get outside I place her on the grass as paramedics come rushing over to us.

"Baby." I whisper, hoping for a response, since her chest is still slightly moving. When I don't get one I start screaming and lightly shaking her.

"Y/NNN!!!" I cry and scream before someone touches my shoulder.

"Luke.." Calum softly says. I look up at him through my tears and shake my head.

"I'm not leaving her." I sob.
