7: You're dating one member but another likes you

Calum: you were at the beach one day with Calum and his band, as it was a hot day and you literally had nothing better to do.

"Hey babe, do you want to come in the water with us?" Calum asks you as Ash and Michael scream at him to hurry up.

"Maybe in a little while Cal." you smile up at him, which makes him pout at you.

"Okay, try not to miss me too much then." he winks and gives you a small kiss on the cheek, before running into the water with the boys.

You lie back down on your beach towel, beginning the sun to coat your skin in a darker shade of natural tan- but you knew that probably wouldn't happen. 

Someone clears their throat from next to you, bringing your attention up to a smiling Luke who was staring at your relaxed frame.

"Hey Luke." You chirp, moving over on you blue starfish- covered towel, so he can sit down.

"Hey." he smiles once he plonks his lanky self down next to you.

You look at him with a puzzled expression, before asking,"Why aren't you in the water with the rest of the guys?" 

"Why aren't you?" he counters with a chuckle.

"Hey, I asked you first!!" you giggle. He smiles at the sound of your giggle, taking in a deep breath. 

"I just wanted to hang out with you." he sighs after your giggles die down.

"Aww lukeyy" you gush, looping you arms around his torso playfully,  "I'm glad that you want to hang out with me." 

"R-really." he stutters, causing you to giggle again, he was always the adorkable friend of yours. 

"Of course, you're my best friend." you assure the pale boy. You and Luke had known each other for a long time, way before you met Calum. He actually introduced the two of you. 

The both of you stare off into the distance, watching the boys do god knows what, with your friendly embrace remaining.

"I miss this." he sighs after the brief moment of silence. 

"What do you mean?" you ask with a confused expression, noticing his saddened expression. 

"Well, ever since you and Calum got together, we haven't been as close." he whispers, looking down at the small starfish that was etched into the towel. 

You look at Luke with sad eyes, how were you so blind to this? You never wanted to neglect your best friend.

"Luke you'll always be my best friend." you sigh as he looks up at you. He stares into your eyes with his crystal blue ones, with such an intense stare that you feel rather captivated by him. 

"Promise?" he whispers, almost as if he is clinging to this unmade promise. 

"Of course Luke." you smile, at the blonde. 

Your taken by surprise when he leans into your small frame, with his own broad body, lips connecting to yours, in what he'd describe as a burst of passion- but you would describe as a mistake. 

Before you can fully grasp what was happening, you hear Calum's voice boom throughout the thickened air.

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING." he yells from a distance. You shove Luke's chest away from you, as you get onto your feet in a rushed manner

"Oh my god, y-y/n I'm so sorry." Luke panics as he stands up quickly, taking stammered steps towards you. You back away slowly, as Calum comes towards you and throws a punch right towards Luke's quivering jaw.
