"You know I used be that beautiful, having the most expensive makeup sets and the cutest hairstyles". I said lifting my camera up, closing my right eye and balancing my lance to make sure I take a perfect picture with the perfect angle.
"You wish huh" Maya teased.
I just smiled and looked at the two models, who stood posing for the camera.
"You know I would never wish to be like anyone else. Not ever!" I commented shifting places with my camera.
"You kidding me right? Well I wish to be popular. I would like to wake up someday with a closet full of beautiful outfits and makeup sets.
"Why don't you try out makeup one day" I raised an eyebrow.
"I wonder how I would look. I guess people would runaway" we both laughed.
"Nah, I think you would look amazing. You have beautiful edges, nice curved face. Makeup should be a magical transformation for you".
"No freakin way! I would wish for the floor to swallow me before I even open my room door." Dying of laughter.
"You know Maya, if you wanna be something, you gon have to lose your pride or wariness and just be it. You gon have to stop fantasizing and just do it. 'Cause no body is gon do it for you.
"Yeah that's right" Maya agreed biting her lower lip. "What about you though. Why don't you try harder one day."
"Not interested. It's a trap" I said turning my focus back to my work.
"Lara please change your pose. Tia face the other direction. That's it! Don't move." I shouted to the models trying to find the perfect shot.
We spend an hour just on one shoot. The models were new and it was a bit too hard to work with them.
It's almost quarter to four and we have accomplished our shoots on time for the day. I walked to my office and dropped my equipment on the table. I inserted my memory card to the computer and started to edit the pictures. Maya walked in with two glasses of water and handed one to me.
"I know you are thirsty. You are just trying too hard to work your butt off that project".
"Yeah, I took some really cool shots. Can't wait to blow the boss's mind away".
Calm down Dannie. You will kill yourself someday". Maya laughed pepping my shoulders.
Strayed reluctantly on my screen, I replied, "I don't like having too much piled up work on my plate. Gotta finish off before sleeping my ass off in peace". We both just laughed in unison.
