Prompt: Scarves

Beam and Forth had decided to have a night out with just the two of them. Well except for the driver that was waiting on them. Apparently, only the family vehicles had access to the inner gate. So, they decided to look about and eventually get something to eat. At first, they just wandered down main street taking in the different shops and restaurants. Finally, they'd come across an Italian restaurant that the smell of the food inside made their stomachs grumble loudly.

About an hour or so later, the two of them playfully stumbled out of the restaurant into the cold crisp night. The wind was blowing making the night seem even colder. Beam moved closer towards Forth intertwining their hands. He could feel the warmth of Forth's hand through his gloved hand. Pha had insisted that they put on jackets before they'd left the house. He warned that it would only get colder the longer they were out. He hadn't been joking because Beam can see their breaths in the air.

"Dinner was good."

"Want to go to the bakery and get some dessert before we head back?" Forth asked.

"Sure."

They walked down the street passing a few shops that were still open. Beam come to a stop in front of a store called Ariel's Cave. He looked in through the bay window to see that there was a guy restocking their barrel tree with what looked like glittery golden apples. Through taking in more of the place it looked like a mom and pop shop for candles and bath and body products.

"Want to go in? I think they are still open." Forth asked starting to step towards the door.

"No," Beam answered tugging him back from heading inside. He shivered from feeling some of the gust of wind go down the collar of his jacket. He should have worn his peacoat because the one he had on wasn't thick enough. He only hoped that Forth hadn't seen it. He'd been rather stubborn with him and Pha about which jacket to wear before they'd left.

He'd obviously failed though when Forth stepped in front of him. Forth had chosen his leather jacket and a plush maroon scarf that Beam had gifted him before their trip. He unwrapped his scarf with a smirk as he folded it in half before looping it around Beam's neck. Forth used the ends to pull Beam into a soft kiss that lingered as Forth continued to work the scarf around his boyfriend's neck.

"Let's go." Forth said breaking the kiss. He watched Beam's eyes flutter open with a dazed look and nod his head in agreement. They intertwined their hands again before making their way to the bakery.
