Your POV
I stood with a group of people as we had light banter about various subjects. I had to pay myself on the back for being so educated and had a thirst for knowledge. I was able to keep up such an adult conversation with people who might be part of my life forever. Harry stood beside me with an arm loosely wrapped around my waste as we continued to be friendly with his guests. I didn't know how I had felt about it, but I didn't utter a word in protest. It was nice and it got me used to the idea of Harry being my future husband. I hadn't noticed I had migrated closer to Harry's side and it didn't seem like he minded it as well. Harry handed me a glass of champagne as we continued to migrate through the party talking to different people that were part of his life.
"Hello Harry", a girl came up behind him.
I shifted uncomfortably with the way she placed her hand on his bicep or the was she was dressed. Her dress was way to low pushing her breasts way up giving her ample cleavage. Harry gulped but didn't make any eye contact with her boobs.
"Hello Tamara, how are you?", Harry had tried to keep his cool.
"Great, I'm sad because I haven't seen you in so long. I'm a bit lonely", she pouted and batted her lashes.
"I've been busy", he blew her off and continued to hold me and pay attention to the people we were talking too.
"Well why don't you come with me, I have a present for you", she grabbed his hand.
"I'll be right back", Harry turned to me and gave me a kiss on the forehead. Leaving with Tamara.
I shrugged it off and walked over to my mom and Anne so I can continue to talk and mingle some more. I hadn't realized that Harry was gone for sometime until the bell for dinner time had rung. We all looked at each other and looked around for Harry, which led Anne to turn to me.
"Why don't you go grab Harry dear. I saw him heading toward the castle. Check his room, top floor fourth door on the left", she smiled.
I nodded picking up my dress and heading into the castle. Following Anne's instructions of going up the stairs to the top level and going to the fourth door on the left. I gasped when I opened the door, Tamara was straddling Harry's lap with the top half of her dress off. Harry sat up with Tamara still in his lap as he made eye contact with me. His shirt off as well, and she turned around to give me a dirty smirk.
"Y/n wait!! It's not what it looks like", he protested but I slammed the door shut and turned on my heels running away.
Lifting my dress I ran as fast as I could towards the stairs. I nearly tripped down the stairs, falling on my bum on one of the stairs. I slipped my shoes off, juggling holding my dress and shoes to run away from whatever happened behind me. I ran, I just kept running like it was the only thing I knew how to do. Running away from this whole mess that surrounded me, a mess I didn't want to be apart of. I could hear the light chatter and the music playing as I ran as fast as I could in the opposite direction. I was such and idiot for believing him, all he said was a lie. A garden gate came into view and I ran faster until I threw myself on the gate sobbing, until I calmed myself down enough to open the gate and plopped myself down on the nearest bench. I sat there dropping my expensive silk shoes in the ground panting and sobbing at the same time.
"Y/n please, let me explain", Harry found me after sometime panting as well.
"No", I shook my head not wanting to hear his excuse.
"Please. I...I never meant hurt you. I just.....I just", he stuttered trying to come up with something to say.
"Maybe my father was right", I sniffles standing up from the bench we sat on.
"What do you mean?", he said in a panic.
"You are nothing but trouble. This was a terrible idea", I said and began to walk away from him.
I slipped on my shoes as I made my way back toward the party and my parents. My mother was the first to come into view, her face fell when she saw me.
"Honey, are you ok?", she asked worriedly at my disheveled appearance.
"I'm just not feeling well", I tried to downplay what had happened.
"Ok, why don't you go to your room and pack. I'll tell Anne we have an emergency and we need to head back to our town", she offered me.
"Yes ma'am", I nodded and headed up to my room.
