*Four Weeks Later*
Your POV
My fingers touched the pedals of the flowers that we're currently blooming in my garden, I usually spent my time in here when I didn't want to face my reality. My current reality being prince Harry, my mother did all she could in dodging any messages or any form of communication from the Styles family since my encounter from the Mid-Summer party. I eventually told my parents what had happened and that was the reason why I had wanted to leave so quickly. My mother and father had agreed to not mention my almost betrothed in any form of conversation we had. I on the other hand, had learned to live with the pain of trusting him for a split second, though it subsided each day, it was also a constant reminder that I couldn't trust him ever again.
"This is absurd!!", I heard my father burst out as he read the morning paper.
"What's wrong dear?", my mother rushed to his side.
"Parliament is giving him another chance to be our king! He actually went down to our government and pleaded for a second chance. After everything he's done. Are they stupid? I know they've read the papers as well, they know it's not a smart decision", my father ranted to my mom.
"Elijah, maybe they think it's a better idea to keep the throne in the family then to find another that would be perfect to take over", my mom tried to reason with my father.
"If that's the reason they indeed gave him his bid to be king once again, he will have no luck in getting a betrothed. He ruined this one and I'll make sure he doesn't get another one. He should just propose to one of his many harlots. He's already lost his chance with my daughter", my father pointed his finger at my mum.
"Oh Elijah calm down, who said he was even going to propose to Y/n. He has many woman at his feet, he might choose one of them", my mother said hurting my feelings a tad. Not that I wanted Harry to propose to me, it was I that undeserving or ugly.
"Good. My daughter deserves better than that disgrace", my father declared.
I smiled to myself as I picked up one of my many garden tools and began to dig a hole for one of my many flowers I had wanted to plant. I was so deep in concentration that I didn't hear the horse hooves thumping on the dirt, nor did I hear anyone until I hear him clear his throat. My eyes steadily made their way up until they met his. My breath was nearly lost when I met them and we had stared at each other for a while until one of us decided to break the ice.
"Hello princess Y/n. How have you been", he looked at me sheepishly.
"Prince Harry", I immediately stood up from my kneeling position and wiped my hands on my apron.
"What are you doing here?", I questioned looking behind me to make sure my parents hadn't heard him.
"I actually came to apologize to you", he said honestly.
"I know I had apologize before but I wanted to come to you to say I want to apologize and to tell you that I want to change. I want to change for you. I know I don't deserve another chance and it would be selfish of me to ask for another chance, it I was hoping we could try again and get to that point", he begged.
I looked at him for a second, debating on my head of my next move, I wanted to turn him away and tell him to never come back. The kinder side of me decided against it, I let out a deep breath. Complete defeated.
"Would you like to come in for tea?", I gave him a small smile as a peace offering causing him to smile back.
"That would be lovely".
