Chapter 3- Purple

OLIVIA'S POV

"Are you sure you are, ok?" I roll my eyes as those words leave his mouth.

"Noah how many times are you going to ask me that? I am fine. If I wasn't, the doctor would've kept me in the hospital." I change the channel on the TV.

He sighs. I already know he wants to say something. It has been on his mind the second we left the hospital. There was also something on my mind. Lukas words just kept playing in the back of my head. "We both know she isn't your mate." How would he know that? But does Noah know I am not his mate. Does Noah know who his mate is? I glance at Noah for a second to see he is staring at me.

"Say it. You want to say something, so just say it."

"Who is that Lukas guy? I have never seen him or heard of him before. Yet he radiates such strength. He's high up there. He is not an omega but he isn't a warrior within the pack."

"He is Aspyn and Jace cousin. Those two are powerful so it makes sense."

"Think about it. Who side of the family did the strength come from? Their father right? He was born into the Alpha bloodline. But he doesn't resemble anything like that side of the family-."

"So clearly he gets it from her mother's side of the family. I don't get it. He is strong, so what?"

"Olivia, his strength is too strong to just be a regular wolf. He isn't a warrior. He doesn't like a challenge. When I got in his face yesterday he came in mine. Not in a warrior to warrior way, not in a omega to warrior kind of way. He came in my face as if I had threatened his position. Like when I go against Grayson's, his Royal Alpha gets very offended from the disrespect from someone beneath them. Like that. He growled back as if he is not use to people getting in his face."

"Ok, so you think he is more than an omega? What if he was training to be a warrior but then stopped? I think you're over thinking this."

"Olivia. Please just listen to me. Please. He gives off next in line strength. He gives off beta strength."

"Ok."

"Olivia, how much do we actually know about his guy. I never really heard that they had a cousin-."

"Well there are a lot of things that a lot of us don't know. Remember when Aspyn died and somehow out of nowhere years later it turned out she was alive."

"I was too young then. But I don't know I just found it odd that I never heard of him. Especially since he was coming along with them and no one really told me. I was supposed to be at the gates but then Aspyn came to the gates right when they were about to come in and replaced me-."

"Aspyn was at the gates when they entered?" Noah nods my head. "Now is it just me or is Aspyn everywhere he is? She carries him, she cares for him. The others don't do anything. They just watch her deal with him. They never offer to carry him. At any chance she gets she steps in front of him. Is that not weird to you?"

Noah just shakes his head as he looks away from me. "Like I said they're cousins. She is going to care for him. She is going to step in front of him. Especially since he is sick and she is a mother, her instincts are just there."

"But the way she puts him behind her and the looks she give him. Like he is broken and she just wants to fix him. It's the look I give you after stressing you out knowing you've already had a terrible day." The look on his face. He is bothered by me.

"Sounds like you are suggesting that they are, in a way, lovers." I stand tossing the remote in his direction.

"You think you're so funny don't you. I'm trying to point out something and you aren't taking me seriously." I turn away from him getting ready to walk off.
