OLIVIA'S POV
"I love you too. Ill see you in a few weeks, ok?" I stare out at the window looking at the trees we drive pass.
"I know, just call me everyday morning and night. I have to go now. Bye baby." He hangs up
I put my phone down on my lap. A sigh escapes my lips.
"Are you okay, Olivia?" I turn to look at Jace looking at me through the rear view mirror.
His eyes.
A little girl pushes open the door, her giggles fill the room and her smile brings everyone else to smile.
It was me. I was the little girl running into the room. When i was younger.
Her mouth moves and words come out but i have no idea what she is saying because the man that comes in behind her brings back memories.
"Lukey," the little girl called him.
Lukey... Luke.
The Beta of the Night Fire pack. The guy that was punching the tree after breaking all the furniture. His hand dripping blood from the strong continuous hits yet he just continued.
"For Goddess sake, Jace. You're always suppose to block her out!" Lukas yelling is what makes me open my eyes and take in a deep breath. Lukas was in the back seat with me in his arms, Jace was at my feet with the door wide open looking right at me with his worried eyes.
"She's up." He lets out a sigh of relief.
"oh thank moon goddess." I am pulled closer into Lukas chest. When he releases me i sit up and grab Jace hand.
"Luke. Will he be at the pack when i arrive there?" Jace looks shocked. He stays silent as he just stares between Lukas and I. "Jace, will I be able to see him?"
"You showed her Luke?" Lukas looks sad as he stares at Jace. "That's what caused her seizure. You showed her something she doesn't remember."
"He knows?" I stare at Lukas. "You know what happened to me? You know what's wrong with me, don't you?" I started getting worked up. They told him. He probably even knows that I died. "Dammit why did I even come? Wait come to think of it I don't even remember getting in the car."
"Please calm down, just breath. Remember what i told you earlier about someone i cared about and a witch getting involved. I have ways of making people talk. I'm sorry. I made them tell me when i first saw you at the lake. Like you didn't know i existed, i didn't even know you existed either. They told me because i force them too. So please calm down. I'm not going to tell a soul. I pinky promise." He brings up his pinky.
"You're a grown man get your pinky away from me." I start to make my way to the door but Jace was blocking me. "I need some fresh air." He moves out of the way, allowing me to step out. "So i had another seizure?"
"Yes, you did. It was my fault i didn't mean to show you anything, i didn't know you would look or that you would see, whatever you saw exactly. What did you see?" Jace comes to my side and puts his hand on my shoulder.
"I saw Luke. I saw me when i was younger. Maybe 9. Everyone in the room was just smiling and i was laughing. Will i see him when we get there? I need to ask him about that day. I don't remember a lot of things from the years of 7-12 but I remember not liking him, mostly. But a memory I have of him is one that made me in a way scared of him. Yet that memory, it tells me i don't have to be scared of him. I just want to see him, observe him. See if maybe i should be scared of him or if he's as happy as he was back then."
Lukas voice comes from behind me."Pfft. He's a sad case man lets not get started on him. He's always in a bad mood, dude has some serious anger issues. One wrong move and he's ready to put you on death row. Believe me, when i first came here he didn't like me because we have the same name. How ridiculous is that? Imagine being that miserable, he needs to get out this pack and like bust a nut or something. Stop being so uptight," he shakes his head in a disappointing motion.
I couldn't help the laugh that escaped my lips. I haven't known Lukas long but I haven't seen this side of his personality, the overly dramatic, high pitched using, inappropriate joke making, but at the same time serious. Acting as if he was my age. Which compared to Jace, he was more my age.
"Lukas, come on now. Don't act to immature. He has his reasons, we respect that and support him. Even though he does get on my nerves most of the time I still love him, he's my best friend..." Jace voice gets deeper as his face gets more serious. "You need to start acting right. I don't need you to leave in the middle of the night like you did with you parents. I'm serious Lukas."
"You ran away from home?" Lukas shrugs. "That's so cool. Give me some tips. Some days I just need to get away for a few hours but there's always somebody at the boarder. And everyone knows my boyfriend so not like i can take one step out without one guard telling Grayson and another guard telling Noah."
"Sure thing princess. Wait until we get to the pack. I'll show you all the tricks i have up my sleeve-."
"No you won't. Don't even joke about that Lukas. Once we get to the pack house ill make sure you stay far away from Olivia." Jace shuts the car door on Lukas and turns to me. "So, Luke. After hearing all that do you still want to see him when we arrive?" I nod my head. "Stubborn. What if he refuses to see you?"
"Too bad i am the Royal Princess. I don't get my way when the Royal Alpha is around but in your pack I am the highest. Lukey will have to see me. That's an order."
