Chapter 1-Anna

7 years Later~

Anna laid in bed listening to Rebecca and Avery argue. Though she couldn't hear exactly what they were saying but she knew it was about her. They were always fighting about her, but she never knew why they fought about her.

Anna thoughts were interrupted by knocking at her bedroom door. "Ann, can I come in?" asked a voice with a thick Scottish brogue.

 This caused Anna to throw the covers off her and run towards the door. She threw it opened and crashed against the person's legs. "Uncle Freddy!" she cheered while hugging him tightly.

Fredrick chuckled and brought his left hand to her head and placed it on top. Fredrick is a tall man (roughly over 6.3 feet) with ash-blonde hair and blue-grey eyes. Anna had always called him 'Uncle Freddy' even though she wouldn't call Rebecca and Avery Mum or Dad. It seemed that even though Anna knew nothing about her real parents she knew that they weren't.

 Fredrick gently grabbed Anna shoulder and pulled away from her so he could kneel down."Now, why aren't you asleep Ann?" He asked her gently. Anna just looked down and brought her right hand up to her left upper arm and grabbed hold of her t-shirt sleeve. She always did that when she felt uncomfortable.

"Come on, lets get you back to bed." He gently turned her back to her bed and gave her a gentle push toward it. As she walked towards her bed he went over the cupboard opposite to her bed and grabbed out a book. He looked over towards Anna and a small smile came to his face, she was laying underneath the tartan blanket he had giving her for her 4th birthday. 

He closed the cupboard door and sat down in the chair next to her bed and placed the book on his lap. Anna was looking up at him waiting for him to start reading, it seemed that they had both become used to this small act. Freddy let out a small chucked as he opened the book and began to read.

There once was a man named Tristen, yet this man wanted to become much more than just a man. Tristen left his home one day for the chance for that to happen. He meet many different people along his quest but none more mysterious as the woman's whose name shall forever be burned into his memory, the Lady Grace.

       
He first layed eyes on the fair lady when he traveled to the lake that was to be the answer to his prayers. She was siting near the lake, a faded cobalt cloak over her shoulders, with skin as pale as snow and her hair the color of fire this woman , the Lady Grace was truly a sight to behold.

He asked the fair lady why she was here but she only replied with 'I was asked.'

He took a step forward to question her on who asked but before any words could leave his mouth, the fair lady turned and looked at him with her piecing blue eyes and at that moment, when he least expected it, his prayer was answered.

Freddy reached over to the desk and grabbed a piece of paper that was on it and placed it in the book and closed it. Anna had fallen asleep half way though his reading. He stood up and pushed the chair under the desk and placed the book on top of it. He turn to Anna and placed a kiss on her forhead befor exiting her room and closing the door.

It seemed that Rebecca and Avery had stopped their argument as there was no more yelling but he could he the faint sound of crying coming from the lounge room. He sighed as he walked to his room. He hoped that even growing up in this life Anna would be able to have a somewhat normal childhood.
