Insecurity and inexperience

Nicole tries her hardest to focus in on her homework assignment that her overly judgemental math teacher had forced her and the rest of class to do but the groans and sad sighs coming from the pretty brunette across from her was becoming a sight problem for her to get it done.

One more exaggerated sigh was enough for Nicole. "Hey Waves, is something wrong?" She looks up at Waverly, a frown placed upon her usually happy face.

"No.." Waverley lets out into yet another sigh. If Nicole hadn't found this girl so adorable she would have been annoyed. "Are you sure that there's nothing wrong? Because it sure sounds like something is wrong." Nicole asks in her soft tone that she usually uses to mainly soothe Waverley. (Also the tone she uses on her pet ginger cat Cj)

"I guess there is this thing... this, thing that has been bugging me." Waverly tills her head down like a puppy dog and Nicole can't help but swoon at the sight. "Do you want to talk about it? You know I'm always here to talk." Nicole places her pen down out on the table out of her hand to show Waverley that she is giving her, her complete and utter full attention. But when is Nicole ever not paying her full attention to Waverley? She can't help it. Something about Waverley Earp that Nicole just can't quite turn away from, even when she tries her hardest to.

"Okay, so you know how Perry is planning to ask me out on a date next Tuesday?" Waverly says all of a sudden fixing her posture sitting up straight and leaning in more towards Nicole.

Nicole frowns. She had no idea. Nicole never was one to listen in on high school drama and even if she did she would never believe a rumour spread by a bunch of hormonal teenagers who only seemed to care more about getting a good Snapchat photo then caring about real life people.

Waverley also seems to 'forget' to tell Nicole about a lot of things going on. Whether it was something small like Waverly getting an A on the test she studied her ass off for (with the occasional help from Nicole) or bigger things like Camp Hardy trying to grab her ass in the middle of cheer practice. Nicole wouldn't have taken all of this to heart if Waverley didn't tell of her cheerleading 'friends' these things and not her. Waverly would constantly rant on about how close her and Nicole were compared to Waverley's other 'friends', so if they were that close why would she always forget to tell her things? It was beginning to pull at Nicole's heart strings in a bad way. But Nicole pushed it aside for Waverley not wanting to make the younger girl feel bad.

Feeling her pulse quicken and sweat start to form in the palms of her hands she takes a deep breath trying to steady herself at the thought of the possibility of Perry taking Waverley on a date."Yes?"

"Well obviously I'm going to say yes." Waverly says in a cheerful happy tone but gives a loud groan at the end of her sentence. Nicole feels her heart drop into the pit of her stomach. "Oh.. so umm.. what's the problem?" Nicole puts on her happiest face even though her heart was definitely not feeling the same as her face portrayed.

"Well I kind of.." Waverly looks up in thought looking like she is debating whether or not she should say whatever it is that she is thinking about. Waverly looks down towards Nicole and her cheeks instantly blush "ugh you know what never mind it's too embarrassing!" Waverly covers her hands with her face.

Nicole reaches out and softly grabs Waverley's hands pulling them away from her currently red face. "Hey. Anything you want to say to me I promise you I won't judge you Waves. I'm always right here if you need to talk to me about anything even if you think it's embarrassing." Nicole puts aside her own pain and puts all her focus on Waverly. Focusing in on Waverley's emotional pain kept her distracted from her own. It was always an extremely easy thing for Nicole to do. Nicole would do anything to keep Waverley Earp happy even if it meant sacrificing her own happiness.
