XVI - Off to the Zoo

OK, so this next 'event' was gonna be big. Not in the sense it was some significant event or something, but it would kinda be a big thing for me and Talia. 

So me and Josh (Chip) had been invited to London zoo, not entirely sure why they wanted us there but OK, and...Gee and Talia were gonna come too. Now this would be great under any normal circumstance, although I say that and because of what we do (Like YouTube and stuff), this was kinda normal in our lives. But anyways It would be our first 'Real' actual appearance on camera since we got together, something that was actually a lot more daunting than it sounded. 

Our close friends knew about us and that was about it, we wanted to keep our relationship off the internet for as long as possible, something that we knew after today would start to become a challenge. 

I exhaled deeply, closing my eyes trying to rid myself of the stress that'd built up. If people found out about me and Talia, that wasn't the problem, It was anything that came along with that. We wanted our relationship to work regardless of anything outside of 'us' and I guess we just thought it'd be easier if people didn't know.

"Sim...n"

"Simon"

"SIMON"

Talia: "Simon, are you OK?" She looked at me concerned 

"Nah, yea I'm good. just deep in thought I guess."

Talia: "Dangerous" She laughed, making me laugh along. Her happiness was just contagious. 

I hadn't done that In a while though, like faded off and out of reality.

Talia: "Don't worry about the Vlogs and stuff, it'll all be fine"

"I'm not worried about that" I kinda lied

"Like i'm not worried about people knowing about us, it's just like, I don't want anything that could, yknow, get in the way"

Talia: "Nothing can mess this up" she said, snuggling her head onto my shoulder in the back of the taxi

I kissed the top of her head, appreciating her reassurance, but it hadn't done much to tame my inner stress. 

* 20 Minutes later * 

Gee opened the door to her apartment, her and Talia both ruined my ears...

Talia and Gee: "HEYYYY!" They both yelled very high pitched as they hugged

"Jesus OW" I chuckled not really caring, but I creased my face and touched my ear anyways to play it up for the joke.

Talia smirked at me and Gee then came over to hug me.

Gee: "aww Simon in sorry, didn't think you'd be able to hear us up there"

Talia laughed with Gee, but, like everyone over 6ft tall, I'd heard it before but I still smiled at the joke, rolling my eyes as she went to walk with Talia into her apartment.

"I'll close the door then shall I" I said sarcastically

Gee: "cheers" she passed it off laughing

I jogged slightly down the hallway walking to the kitchen/living kinda area of the apartment

Chip: "SIMON!" he yelled getting off the sofa and coming over to me

Talia: "You had a go at us, Josh's almost as bad" She laughed with Gee, I joined in

Chip had stood still and just smiled looking confused. This made me crack up.

"aight?" I said to chip embracing in a quick hug.

Chip: "yea, been stuck with her all morning though" he said pointing at Gee

Gee: "HEY!" she called him out

Talia: "Do I not get at least a hello" She asked neglected.

Chip: "Nah, But I thought that was the point of the plan for the next 2 days though"

Talia: "I mean yea but the cameras aren't on are they" We all laughed at him

Chip: "Well i'm just getting into character"

We all continued to laugh

Chip: "You will be known as 'Mystery person' from henceforth DUN DUN DUNNNN!"

"Dramatic" I commented deadpan, it got a bit of a laugh.

* A short while later, about to leave *

We kinda just chilled out in Gee's flat for a bit not really doing anything. We planned to leave at like 4 so we could get to the zoo for 5 and it was 3:45 now. Gee said she wanted to wait for Will to get back before we all left.

About 2 minutes later the front door of the flat clicked open. We all sort of moved as one, taking this as our cue, grabbing the bags we planned to take with us off the floor, we didn't like waiting around.

I only had a rucksack with me so I was up and ready to leave quick. I wasn't very good at standing still so I started to walk around a bit and went into sight line of the recently opened front door to see Will walking in.

"Alright Will?" I asked cheerfully

Will: "yalright, watssup?" 

I was about to just generically reply with 'good' But Talia basically dropped her bag as she climbed over a pile of stuff and stumbled forewards.

I half caught her as she regained her footing quickly and she let herself lean against me as she Laughed hard at her own clumsiness. 

"You OK?" I said half concerned, half laughing along with her as she was propped up against me.

Talia: through her laughter and nodding "Yea...thanks for not letting me face plant" She laughed even harder

"Oh well If that was your plan, I'd have not grabbed you then" 

She slapped my arm and turned back to pick up her wrongly orientated bag. 

I let her go and went back to reply to Will but I heard his door close down the hall. It wasn't gentle either, it didn't slam but it wasn't normally. It caused enough of a bang for everyone to sort of look over. I turned to everyone, all who looked equally as puzzled as me, But I could see Gee gritting her teeth through a half smile. I guess she might have knew something was up?

Gee: "Don't worry bout him" She said trying to reassure us. 

After a few seconds everyone continued to make a move to leave.

Chip went first to open the door and usher me and Talia out first, then Gee followed behind calling to Will as we all left.

Gee: Through his door "bye Will, we're going now, see you tomorrow"

Will: in return still through his door "alright Cya"

I don't know what made me think so, but his voice sounded a bit flatter than when we exchanged words no more than a minute ago. What was up? Did I do something?

Gee closed the flat door and we all made our way to the lift.

Stepping in the lift my mind cleared a bit and remembered I was just gonna have 2 days with Talia.

I looked down at her standing next to me, even though it was a spacious lift she still insisted on leaning against me. I held her hand and she looked back at me. We both smiled. This was gonna be a sick but stressful 2 days.
