XVII - BUTTERFLIES AND SCREAMING

Me, Josh and Talia were all filming our "trip to London Zoo" or whatever the titles would end up being. I don't think I had ever had to try to not film what was going on through out my whole time doing YouTube. I never in a million years thought it'd be this hard, id be lucky if I got a 5 minute video with how much i'd probably have to cut, but it was worth it to try and keep Talia and mine's relationship on the down low. 

The four of us spent a very chill evening together going round the zoo in the dark. I think we got cameras out about 3 times collectively because you couldn't see anything in the dark. It was a good excuse so we thought we should take advantage of it. Talia agreed that we could use the night as 'our trip to the zoo' then tomorrow would be for the vlogs. The whole evening we spent with Gee and Josh just having a good time going around.

The Morning 

Not that anyone knew, well at least on camera, that me and Talia were sharing a cabin...thing...I don't know what to call it, Its a shed with a bed, toilet and a fucking flamingo painted on the wall, But It was honestly the best part of the whole visit, just time for the two of us with no worries about cameras or being seen etc. 

I was up with Talia laying next to me in the definitely not to small bed until 1 or 2 am. She had stayed over at the House a few times and it was great, but this time it just felt so much better. It was probably the prospect of not being able to spend as much time with her as I wanted to, that made being with her that much better. 

"ughhhhhhhhhh" I groaned as I got up from sitting on the bed 

Talia: "You OK?" she asked softly

"Yea i'm all good. I just don't want to have to do this"

Talia: "what you don't like being at the Zoo?" she half asked, half giggled

"Nah that parts alright, and you being here makes it."

Talia: "awww" she said pulling an adorable face

"allow it" I said laughing wrapping my arm around her "I meant having to act for the cameras and stuff" 

Talia: "I hate it too, but its better for us if the fans don't know right?"

"Yea It will be." I agreed but it didn't make it any easier, but she seemed to be dealing with it well. Or she was hiding it well. 

Later

The day went alright, Talia and Gee spent the majority of the day together while we were all vlogging and I then spent the day with Josh. It made it a lot easier to keep apart on camera that way at least. 

About half way through the day Gee basically dragged us all to some butterfly tent thing. Now I knew that Talia was scared of butterflies. kinda weird of a weird fear, says me who hates fish. But they are aliens so thats different. 

Chip: to his vlog "guys I want this one to be entertaining and we're gonna take the risk. Simon are you ready?" 

He pans his camera to me quickly

"I'm ready"

Chip: dramatically "The butterfly paradise" 

"GO!" I call as I run through the chains, plastic and other hanging stuff that's put at the entrance 

We both leg it through the tunnels yelling. We weren't really interested in the butterflies so we just started running around aimlessly. Gee followed us in holding Talia's camera.

Chip: "wowww the camera just got straight steamed up I cant see anything"

"It's had enough of seeing your face" I laughed

Chip: "Hey, Simon thats not nice to say" he joked back innocently 

We both laughed.

Talia was screaming at Gee as she was being dragged through into the tent thing that kept the butterflies.

Gee: "theres so many butterflies"

Talia: "GEE I DON'T LIKE IT" she said screaming and trying to cower in the oversized jacket I had given to her this morning

Me and Chip stood a bit round the corner, we sort of just watched the antics chuckling to ourselves.

Talia had her eyes covered and was cowering in the middle of the walkway while Gee just looked up around trying to offer brief words of reassurance.

Gee: "C'mon Talia I want to look at the butterflies i'm gonna keep going without youuu" she teased walking off slowly

Talia: "Nooo Gee i'm scared I can't" She stood froze laughing and panicking hugely

Gee walked over to me and gave me a little wink insinuating I go 'help Talia'. I rolled my eyes in response and she laughed while slapping my arm pushing me slightly towards Talia's direction. Her and Josh then continued walking. 

I walked the two steps round the corner and saw Talia had been reduced to a shaking mess trying to calm herself down by mumbling to herself.

I slowly went to wrap my arm around her.

"Hey...its OK its me" I whispered

Talia: "Oh my god Simon please i'm so scared" She barely was able to get her words out.

She buried herself face first into my chest and I cuddled her tightly. 

"Its alright come on, i'm here for you" It sounded so cheesy and cringe but it seemed to calm her down.

Talia: "Simon please" she didn't finish what ever she was going to say if there even was anything

"Ill never go anywhere" I continued to try and calm her down,

It took us about 2 minutes to cover the 20 metres in the butterfly tent. I don't think Talia looked up once but she wouldn't loosen her grip on my jacket as she was trying to hide against me. I 'sheltered' her with my arms and slowly walked us out resting my chin on the top of her head, enveloping her almost with my body. I guess she could see when we were out as she looked up when we went past the doors to the outside again. 

Talia: "thanks for protecting me" she said looking up now

"I don't think that's exactly somewhere you need protecting but ill always be there if you need it" I comforted her as she was still breathing heavily and slightly panicking at her traumatic experience. 

She leaned up and kissed me quickly then rested her head back on my chest for a further few seconds.

When she felt comfortable again she let go of me and I let her go too. 

Gee was waiting with the camera to record Talia's reaction to the excursion so Me and Chip hang back a little bit. 

Chip: "Awwww Simon, Talia's knight in shining armour saved her from the demon butterflies" 

"Shut up yea" I said laughing.
