The school week passed by quickly once again. I had to study for two tests, so I was busy. But they're over now and I think they went okay. When I enter the house, I let myself fall on the couch dramatically.

"Ugh. Tests are so annoying!", I sigh and Garret, who is right behind me, just chuckles.

"Why do you even put effort into them? It's not like you need to get good grades here...!", he says walking into the kitchen to get a drink. I quickly sit up and look at him.

"Because... it's just... respectful to follow the usual rules." I laugh.

"Yeah, I know... but you're still respectful if you don't get all A's ...just take it easy."

"Wow, that's some great parenting right there!", I tease and he laughs.

"Well...what can I say."

I smile and walk upstairs into my room. Just as I close my door, I hear the familiar sound of my phone notifying me that I got a new message. I unlock my phone to see a new message from Austin.

Hey! I hope you're free all day tomorrow... might take a little longer than usual. xx

I quickly type my reply and send it.

Yep, I'm free all day after my usual Saturday-Routine :) xx

I begin to do my homework and only stop when Elizabeth calls us for dinner. Afterwards I sit down with Alex on the couch to watch some Disney movies, until he falls asleep in my arms and Garret carries him to bed. I hang out with Garret a little until I finally fall into bed exhaustedly.

The saturday morning goes smoothly and I find myself making my way over to Austin, after just three hours.

When I arrive, I can already see Austin walking around, carrying stuff from one place to another.

"Hey!", I greet him.

"Hi Rylee, how was your morning?", he asks, while pulling me in for a hug.

"It was fine, nothing special. So where do we start today?"

"Well... our part inside...is finished. My uncle agreed to do the rest over the week, since he knows more about all those things."

"So what do we do then?", I look around.

"The outside walls could use some cleaning and new colour!", he smiles and I nod.

"I'm gonna get the stuff we need, hold on!", he says and walks back inside.

After a few seconds I hear him mumbling something, as he walks over to me.

"What did you say?", I ask.

"I'm an idiot, I forgot the paint for the house... I just have all the stuff for the cleaning part...!", he sighs.

"Would you mind if I quickly drive to the store and get some?", he asks, raising his eyebrow.

"No, it's fine! I'll just start cleaning in the mean time.", I smile.

"Thanks, you're the best! I'll be right back.", he says and then turns around to run to his car.

I sigh and begin to clean the outside walls of the cabin. The minutes pass and I'm so concentrated that I'm shocked when I check the time on my phone. It's already been half an hour... shouldn't he be back by now? It's not that long of a drive to the next store...

I decide to ignore it, he might just be stuck in traffic!

But when another 30 minutes go by, I start to worry and text him.
