It has already been a week at Rose Hill High. I was starting to get familiar with things. I found a group of friends, and I was getting used to my classes. There was one thing though that I am not used to and it was driving me crazy. Cyrus Jackson!

He has been driving me insane all week! He was always charming with the girls and has all the teachers wrapped around his finger. I felt like he could get away with murder and no one would notice! If they did, they would not care because he was so charming.

I have two classes with Cyrus. I swear he loved to mess with me. On Monday, in science, he kept turning around and looking at me while making weird faces. In drama class, he was only paying attention half the time and talking to his friends the other half!

Don't get me started on Wednesday! Ms. Oak let him eat food in class! We are not talking one snack I am talking a full meal! Then, in Drama, we were watching a movie and he kept on talking about hockey!

I swear he was so rude! But no one noticed that side of him! They just see the smart and charming side!

"Happy Friday!" bellowed Anna as she took a seat at the lunch table.

"I just don't understand him. How do people like him? He drives me crazy!" I exclaimed.

"What's going on?" asked Anna.

I had just finished a rant about Cyrus driving me crazy and it was pretty long.

"You don't want to know," joked Kevin.

Rachel looked at Anne and said, "Luna here does not like Mr. Cyrus Jackson."

Anna's mouth dropped open. "Why?" she boomed "He is so—"

"If you're about to say he is charming, I am going to lose it," I interrupted her.

"But he IS charming!" Anna objected.

At this point, Anna was in a love haze thinking about Cyrus.

"THAT!" I pointed at Anna. "Why do most of the people at this school swoon over him?"

"He is Mr. popular, on the hockey team, and he's kind to everyone," Kevin said while looking down at his food.

After a moment of silence, he looked up from his food and shot us a pathetic look.

"Also, all the girls find him attractive," he sighed. "Why won't a girl look at me?"

"Oh god, not this again," Rachel complained while rolling her eyes.

Anna leaned over to Kevin and hugged him.

"There, there. You will find someone one day," she cooed while petting him.

"I know. I know," Kevin said now sitting up and having a smile on his face. "I am just joking around."

"We know," spat Rachel giving Kevin a laser-eye stare.

"Why don't you give him a chance?" asked Emma. "He could be different when you get to know him better."

"Right now, I am just done with him," I declared.

"Maybe in time. You never know," snickered Rachel while cracking a smile.

I stared at Rachel now. I was quiet for a moment to think about it.

"Nope," I replied.

Then, the bell rang, marking the end of lunch.

Gym class time. Oh yay! I thought to myself. I don't mind gym, but it's right after lunch so I can't have a big meal, or I get sick in class.

I finished changing into my gym clothes. I wore a pair of running shoes, black workout shorts with a red line down the sides of them, and a shirt with the band The Temple Trap on it. The photo is from their album Thick as Thieves with two people wearing monster masks. I closed my little gym locker then headed to the gym. When I saw Rachel ahead of me, I walked faster to catch up to her.

"Ready to exercise?" I joked.

She stopped walking and turned to face me. "Not really," she sighed.

Rachel and I also have gym class together. Sometimes she does not have to be in class because she is on the soccer team, but since it's not soccer season, she has to be here.

We walked into the gym, which was very big. There were many basketball hoops and a running track around the edge. Today there were badminton nets up in the gym.

The other girls in our class were standing in front of our teacher. We joined them and waited for our directions.

Ms. Bloom, our gym teacher, stood there looking at us briefly, then down to her clipboard. She must have been doing attendance. After a couple of minutes, she looked up from her board at all of us.

"Okay ladies!" she boomed. "Today you have two options to choose from today. You can choose from walking around the gym the whole time or badminton. You can do one or the other the whole time or do one half of the class then switch. You all can decide, as long as you're doing one of these during class, you're good."

There was a loud sound. We turned our heads to face the entrance of the gym and saw a bunch of boys walking in.

"Oh yeah! I totally forgot to tell you all." Ms. Bloom blurted out. "The boy's gym class will also be here, today. They will be playing basketball. Now then, go to it!"

We all dispersed to get to work. Rachel and I decided to walk first then play badminton. We were chatting about random things like, what's the best doctor show on tv right now. In my opinion, it was New Amsterdam. Rachel thought The Resident was better. We got a little heated talking about which one was the best.

Then, from out of nowhere, I was thrown off when I heard the boy's gym teacher call out, "Cyrus Jackson, you're late!"

Right there and then the only thing I could think was REALLY? He was here? Can't I have one class without seeing or hearing about him? Then again, in this school, it seems I can't get that wish because everyone here loved Cyrus Jackson.
