'Feeling'
Ch. 01
Naruto was in his room. He wore a white shirt and blue shorts. His knees were curled in a ball with his arms hugging his legs. His Head rested on his knees as dry tears coated his 12 year old cheeks. There on the floor was his ninja headband after tossing it out of frustration. One memory played in his mind repeatedly over, and over, and over until it haunted him, it was as if his own past was his biggest adversary from the painful thoughts that keep manifesting in his head.
Naruto was sitting on a swing as every kid in the village was staring at him. He knew no one wanted to play with him. But he just didn't know why. He watched everyone play on the playground as the kids deliberately stayed away from him refusing to make eye contact as they ran back and forth. He watched as hours passed, slowly their parents came to get their children, with every hour that passed by the playground grew emptier with less and less kids as their parents came to pick them up. Naruto knew his parents wouldn't come pick him up but liked to imagine they were on their way, maybe one day they'll come and grab him from the playground after it took them years to fight off bad ninjas so they couldn't visit Naruto until the mission was over. Naruto sat on the swing as a lady came to grab her child. Naruto could barely hear them due to being far away, their voices were a bit muffled, but could hear them enough to be crushed by their words.
"Sweety you didn't play with that yellow haired boy there did you? He didn't touch you did he?" The mother would ask her child
"No mommy, he scares me" the kid responded
"Okay, well we'll see if we can transfer you to a different academy, I don't know what your father was thinking when he enrolled you in a class with that boy" the mother responded before leaving with her daughter
Just like that Naruto was alone, the sun was setting as the sky boasted a brilliant red-orange. he sat on his swing no longer swinging, it was only silence that filled his ears, suddenly, Naruto felt something he's never felt before. His chest, it felt as if a bowling ball lye on his chest, his eyes, watery and dry at the same time, and his stomach turned and tingled with sensation. He had no clue what he felt but the feeling overwhelmed him so much it overshadowed his 5 senses, this was all he could feel, Later he'd know this feeling as dispair.
Naruto opened his eyes realizing hes still on his bed with his legs curled up, he never moved. He's 12, and he gets that feeling of a bowling ball on his chest and that overwhelming tingle in his stomach till this day, but now it's a little different. He has no clue what this feeling is but it's manifested, now he has a burning feeling in his chest and his mind races with 1000 thoughts per second unable to control it.
He looked over at his headband and stared at the leaf logo on it
"B-but I've worked so hard for it" he softly whispered to himself. In his voice you could hear a bit raspy sound from him crying for so long. "why do people still hate me?"
