Hey, look. It's Andy.

Also, there will most likely be some sins being committed. What else would you expect? Jessie's a bad girl who's wearing little clothing and she dated the leader of a biker gang. Stephen's a good boy cinnamon bun. No doubt there would be sins committed here, dammit.

Stephen had chosen to live in the apartment where Jessie lived since it was looking for help and they offered a living space, which was right next to Jessie's apartment. Some called Stephen unlucky while others called him braver than the bravest and then some called him an idiot for trying to live next door to Jessie.

He couldn't figure out why though since he thought that Jessie was an emotional girl who just woke up on the wrong side of the bed every morning. Boy was he wrong.

I'm not allowed to spoil anything even if it will most likely never happen, but I can tell you this. Jessie wasn't just any bad girl. Before life spiraled downhill for her, she had been to jail a few times whether it was an actual crime or a simple misunderstanding depended on what happened beforehand. There were times where she was a security guard and let me tell you, there were mistakes that were made when she was. Trust me, it wasn't pretty.

Stephen could see why Jessie didn't like the cafe. She didn't wear a lot of bright colors and, from what Stephen saw, there weren't many colors in her apartment. Her curtains were even closed so little to no light was within her room. If he were, to be honest with himself, he didn't like how bright the cafe was. Their food was good so it kind of canceled the colors out... just a little...

Around closing time, Stephen was cleaning up one of the tables when Jessie entered and sat at the booth closest to the apartment stairs. Once Stephen was finished cleaning, his boss called him over to bring a meal to Jessie.

She also said it was nice knowing him for the day he worked with her and the staff, but that's what she says to every employee who lives next door to Jessie.

"Good evening, Jessie," he said with a smile as he placed the meal before her.

"I didn't think you'd work in hell, Stephen," she said with a slight chuckle.

"I can see why it looks like hell, love," he chuckled. "But you should look at the brighter things in life... Hmpf. No pun intended, but my point still stands."

Jessie huffed in amusement as she dove into her meal. Stephen had taken her dirty dish and left her the check. Much to the cafe's surprise, she left Stephen a tip and a note.

Don't get too comfy, muffin. They'll come back sooner or later.

-Jess

Stephen sighed as he tucked the note in his pocket, finished cleaning up the cafe, and went to his apartment. A key that looked similar to Jessie's apartment key had been left on the other side of his apartment. Stephen picked up the key and closed the door wondering if Jessie left him the key and why.

Something was interesting about her key. It would've been completely black if it wasn't for the beautiful blue rose painted on the top. It matched his eyes and he could tell that it was hand-painted before it was shaped to fit her door.

Stephen was standing on his patio when Jessie came out.

"I see you got my key," she said while unwrapping a lollipop.

"I did," he replied as he leaned against the railing. "But why did you give me a key?"

"Not that I think you'll stay forever, but if you stay awhile and I don't come out for a few days, come in and check if I'm dead or not. 'kay?"
