Unexpected Mates

#13 Love you's

The school day was pretty uneventful after that except the stares. Mostly scared and that made me happy for some reason. Now they know not to mess with my mate. I hung out with Forrest after school in the woods. The place we first hung out now I am walking home. I am pretty calm so if I see Cruz I probably won't bash his face in but we'll see. I walk in the front door and hear sounds from the kitchen.

"I'm home!" My mother peaks her head from the kitchen arch way and motions for me to come. She doesn't look mad but i'm  not sure.

"I heard about the fight with your brother today," she paused looking for a reaction. "Explain" "He hurt mate" I shrugged. She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Explain"

"He said something, they got in a fight, and I finished it"

"What did he say?" "I don't know. He said it was none of my business." I shrugged. My eyes wander, getting  bored of the conversation. I strain my ears but hear no one else in the house.

"You need to start thinking before your actions. You can't just attack someone you don't like. You have to stop acting like a chi-"

"Where's Cruz?" I ask while sniffing, trying to find his scent.

"He's at a friends house."

"Why is he scared?" She glared at me silently telling me to shut up.

"Sorry. Where's Dad." She turned and continued stirring the pot.

"He's patrolling tonight. Won't be back till early morning." She added seasoning to the pot.

"What are you making" I ask while sitting on a stole.

It's not for you. I'm bringing it to your brother and his friends family as a thank you for letting him stay."

"I though he went to hang out?"

"I sent him over there because I don't want you two to break anything." She joked as she packed up the food.

"I'm going to drop it off and then go t the store. Don't do anything stupid while i'm gone."

"I won't" She patted my back and left the house. I walked up the stairs thinking about stuff to do. I haven't been to a party in a while. I check my phone for any news abut parties and found one happening later tonight. Maybe I should ask Forrest to come wit me. The phone rings a few times before he picks up.

"Hi" he sounds groggy like he just woke up. It's early but I don't ask.

"Wanna go to a party with me?"

"I don't know....I don't go to parties"

"I know but we'll be together"

"People wouldn't like me coming to their house"

"If they try something to you, Ill deal with them" I say with a sinister smile. I would take pleasure in hurting anyone who hurts my mate.

"Think of me as your personal body guard." He chuckled

"Shouldn't I be the one beating people for you?"

"Even guys need to be protected"

"...I'll go" I grin so big it hurts/

"Great! We'll walk together since neither of us have a car."

"Sounds good, Love you"

"love you too bye." After I hang up and freeze. I just said I loved him. He said he loved me. It just came out like naturally. Not that I don't love him I just.....Fuck.

~Time Skip~

I got ready in red shorts and a black shirt with grey flower. After throwing  on some converse and headed out. I walked in the woods till I caught his scent. Smiling, I walk to him and hugged him from behind.

"Ready?" I grabbed his hand as we started walking.

"Yeah"

I got distracted watching Peppa Pig edits mid chapter. Also my birthday was yesterday so yay me. Hope everyone's having a good day
