Unexpected Mates

#3 Lets Have Fun

    I took a few deep breaths before walking in the school. I got a few happy birthdays from some people who claim to be my friend but want the ranking that it comes with. I am pretty nervous about meeting my mate. What if he doesn't like me? What if he thinks I'm just some stuck up polar girl? What if he likes someone else? That last one terrified me because us I wouldn't want to ruin someone's happiness for my own even if we were meant for each other. I had been in a daze for too long cause I heard the bell ring signaling to go to our first period.
    
   I walked in to class sitting near the back today trying to disappear in the walls. Not long after class started Monet walks in with messy hair and her lipstick smudged with the same excuse. She had obviously been making out with Miles. She hadn't had sex with him because she would've turned up a lot later to class. That sounded creepy that I knew that but oh well. Anyway class started and noted a few ideas for my monologue. I had one idea already but I needed a backup just in case someone decides to do the exact same one like last time.

    The bell rang and I went to my next class. The most delicious smell ever hit my nose. It smelled like hot chocolate, rain, and ice cream all in one. My wolf started going nuts and was barking like crazy.

    She was screaming and I winced trying to calm down the headache forming. I looked around the class trying to find the owner of the smell and my eyes landed on him. Forrest Pine. He is the cutest boy in my opinion. Sadly, he is disliked by many in the pack for a stupid reason. His mother is a drug addict and his father is unpredictable and dangerous. One minutes he fine then the next he has you by the throat because you were breathing "wrong". How the fuck do you breathe wrong? Out of your eye? Ass? Ear? Anyway because of his parents he doesn't talk a lot and is a loner. All those things combined made people bully him. Miles especially can't give him a break. Constant insults and  beatings.

    I tried to stop when I saw it happening and even went between a fight. I know I was stupid but what they were doing was horrible and idiotic. Me being the semi weak she wolf and them being freakishly strong the easily held me back from stopping Miles beat the crap out of Forrest. Forrest isn't weak and can fight but Miles is the soon to be Alpha and if Miles wanted to he could say Forrest hit him first. That could get him excommunicated(kicked out) of the pack or ,if the Alpha felt like he was a threat, even executed. Now don't get me wrong, I am definitely not going to reject him for something that isn't his fault. I've talked to him once and he smiles really nice and sweet. I am scared about what the pack will do when they find out were mates. They can do what they want to me but I can't let them hurt him anymore then they already have. Sola growled at the thought of someone hurting our mate. Forrest must have smelled me too because he started sniffing the air and glancing around. I being the wuss I am I sink further in my desk.
What if he doesn't like us?

    I couldn't focus in class I just waited for the bell to ring so I can really meet my mate. The bell rung. It was lunch time and I knew Forrest doesn't eat in the cafeteria due to bullying reasons so I went to his usual spot, The library. I don't stalk him, I've just seen him go in there. Maybe I did watch him go in there once on purpose but that's in the past. The library was quite as I entered. I spotted Forrest in an isle on the floor reading and eating. He is so fucking cute while he eats.
That was definitely creepy
Oh shut up you were enjoying watching him to.
But the way you stare while he eats comes off a stalker-ish "watch you while you sleep" kind of way
    "Are you just going to stare at me while I eat?" His voice was deep but soft. I stepped in his line of sight and smiled at him.
"Hi uhhhhhmmm so....... were mates." Great job Calista. Way to point out the obvious. Why did I come here without a plan for what to say. I'm such a moron.

    "Yup. So are you going to reject me now or wait till later when there is an audience." He sounded defeated but try to hide it with a blank face. I slowly walked towards him and kneeled in front of him. I stared into his grey eyes that looked so much like mist and fog.
"I will never reject you, you are my mate and I will love you until the day I die" I say in the most serious tone I can muster. He looked surprised I didn't reject him and thought for a second. While he was thinking I sat down in front of him deciding I would spend my lunch with my mate. He glanced at me then handed me half of  his sandwich.
"Here. You don't have a lunch," I thanked him and started eating the sandwich. I was hungry because it had been a full 3 hours since I last ate. I like to snack throughout the day then eat a lot. When I finished I looked up to see he had been staring at me.
"What?"
"Your just so beautiful I can't understand why I'm your mate and not someone else" He broke my heart saying those words. Before he could say anything else I leaned over and grabbed his face between my small hands.  Tingles ran through my hand and up my arm. My heart was beating fast while his breath hitched from the sparks.
"Never and I mean never say that again. I am glad your my mate and not some asshat that bullies you. I can't wait to get to know you for you and not just some dumb rumors."

    He smiled at me which made my wolf go crazy for. I helped him to his feet and hugged him, breathing in his scent. He buried  his head in my neck while breathing my scent I'm. This is the first conversation I've had with him and I already love him. It sounds cheesy because it is. I can't really help it because we're mates and all. The bell rung and Sola whimpered thinking of leaving our mate. His wolf must have heard because he hugged me tighter. I didn't want to move. I would be late to class anyway.
"What is your next class" that made him look up from my hair.
"History but I usually skip. Miles and his friends are in that class." He said looking down towards the ground. I lifted his chin and spoke mischievously.
"Let's skip and get to know each other. We can also have some fun"
"Sure. Why not?"
When the bell rang we walked hand in hand right out of school.
