Leaning against the curved wall, I watched all of the other examines stalk into the underground room. The sewer-like corridor had a strong echo whenever Mr.Bean walked over to talk to all of the people who made it thus far, giving them all their number badges. Inhaling through my nose, I glanced around catching the eye of a few "future" hunters, they smelled of fear....oh how I love it. Licking my lips at the aroma, I kept looking around, eyes darting from one to the other. They all could barely see me, but my number was pinned proudly to the thigh of my skintight gray bodysuit...#1. I could all but hear the sound of grinding teeth, muffled curses at how I had made it first. Upgrounders are always so stupid.
Off to my right, I saw a heavyset man saunter in...oh this is always good. Tonpa, the Rookie Crusher...luckily no one here is a rookie. All veterans knew the guy, he has a weird obsession with flattening rookies to the ground. I liked him for that simple fact if they couldn't get past Tonpa, how in Tartarus' good name did they expect to become hunters. Number 16 made his way over to me, leaning on the wall a few feet away.
"Care for a drink?" he asked not even looking my direction. I tilted my head to the side, my ever-present smile widening.
"How polite," I snickered, "But I must refuse...can't be losing my cool just yet."
Shaking his head, he braved a glance at me. "Why are you here?"
Laughing loudly, making all of the other hunters jump.
"To become a hunter." I stated, my smile craving its' across my lip and making its' way to my ears, "What else."
A visible shiver went down the fat man's back, "I pity whatever you hunt." He pushed himself off the wall and headed to his post up on the wall near the entrance.
"Happy hunting." I laughed as he walked away. Shaking my head to myself as I settled farther into the darkness around me...I miss the pitch black of Hades. Dipping my head to the side, my ears picked up on the sound of the elevator coming down.
"Happy hunting indeed." Humming to myself.

No one remotely interesting came in..until Number 44 that is. Yes, He was a killer that was for sure. The way he walked showed he had nothing to fear, he's powerful. Running my tongue over my bottom lip, I pushed off the wall. My movement didn't go unnoticed, the room seemed to freeze as I made my way over to the tall clown. I took a small breath in through my nose, he reeked of blood and death...my favorite perfume.
The tall male, stopped when he felt my presence get closer to him, tipping his head back to look over his shoulder. He was handsome, his slender eyes that were yellow held my own with no fear, I could practically feel his bloodlust. My grin widened yet again, taking him all in; his red/fuchsia hair was styled back into a wavy point, making it look like his hair was always in the wind, he had a jawline so sharp I'm sure I could cut myself on it, his nose was sharp as well but it fit his face perfectly. My eyes followed his tall lean figure, taking in his harlequin style clothes, his wide shoulder, and making their way down to his narrow waist.
Humming at the sight of him, I continued closer, my own dark aura was seeping out of its normally well-contained box. His eyes widened ever so slightly before he fixed his surprise to mask it with a charming smile.
"Hello~" he purred, I had to contain the pleasurable shiver from going down my back.
Letting out a soft "hmm," in greeting, my eyes couldn't seem to stay still, sweeping up and down his body. What could I say, Me likey...a lot.
"What's your name??" He was trying to get my attention...but he already had it.
"My father always told me to never talk to strangers." I purred to him, taking a step closer into his powerful aura.
"If you do that how do you expect to make friends?" It was his turn to step closer to me, I released a little more of my nen...letting him feel a small glimpse of it.
"Are you saying you want to be my friend?"
"Hmmm," he looked down at me, taking his time to drink in my appearance, "Yes, I'd like to be your friend."
Snickering softly, I ducked my head released more of my power. Letting it wash over all of the contestants, the sweet smell of fear grew. Snapping my head back up to the tall man before me I laughed loudly, eyes wild with the madness that I knew clouded over them.
"If you can survive this exam, then I'll let you be my friend." I pulled my nen back, letting it settle before I started to turn back to my corner. But a hand wrapped around my wrist stopping me...OH?
"What's your name, little fruit?" his grip was tight but not enough to hurt. Looking back over my shoulder, I phased my wrist out of his grasp.
"I told you..." The whole room started to darken, making everyone jump to their feet and look around wildly. Once the room was pitch black, I snickered looking directly into the clown's eyes.
"I don't talk to strangers." And with that, the room was lit once more, but I was no longer in the room or so that's what my nen would say. I was still in it, my nen had coated my body and made me a shadow, so I simply was just a dark spot in my corner.
Laughing to myself, as I watched my new "friend" look around for me. I'm so glad I decided to do this for my vacation, instead of going back home. This was going to be fun.
