Miraculous Boys/Girls Day Out

AN- This is based on an idea I had because I watched the finale right after Kwami Buster, so I thought "What if Marinette still had all the miraculous when Hawkmoth stole the miracle box?". I know that this doesn't work, but it's a fun idea and I'm rolling with it. Come up with whatever reason/excuse you want.

   Hawkmoth broke open the phonograph excitedly, paying no head to the near-artifact's destruction. Mayura couldn't help a soft smile in response to his wide grin as he pulled out the Miracle box. His plan would finally come to fruition and he could be happy, even if her involvement in that happiness ended with Emile's return. 

   He hopped down to the balcony behind the distressed Chloe Bourgeois whom he had relied on almost as much as Nathalie in his supervillian ventures. Between her natural selfishness and recent rejections, she would be easy to persuade. All he needed was her mir... His hand stopped and he stared in horror as he opened the box. It couldn't be. He'd been this close. He'd retrieved the box, and yet.. the old Guardian's words came back to him. "You will gain nothing from me."  He hadn't said said defiantly, like a last stand. He stated it factually, with a grin on his face.

   Chloe turned in surprise as she heard a mournful "no". She would have assumed that it was her own after Ladybug had called on another hero to save her parents, but it was far too low pitched. Lo and behold, when she turned around, what was behind her definitely did not belong there.

She was face to face with Hawkmoth.

   "What do you want? Fashion advise? Cause I don't even have a miraculous for you to take right now.", Chloe's last sentence came out more strained than she'd like, but she could deal with that problem later. She couldn't let Hawkmoth get away with coming to her home and akumatizing her parents. Besides, maybe if she could handle Hawkmoth without Pollen, Ladybug would trust her to guard the comb and she could keep Pollen with her again.

   "Why, I'm here for you of course. Ladybug has scorned you too many times now. She doesn't trust you to be Queen Bee. I, on the other hand, would have you as a queen over all the miraculous." He held up the Miracle Box, praying that she would accept the akuma before demanding her miraculous.

   Chloe could feel herself reddening with rage. How dare he! "Miraculous or no miraculous, I AM Queen Bee! Ladybug hasn't scorned me, even after I messed up, she gave me another chance! She's just trying to protect me and my loved ones you petit piece de merde! Do I look like an easy mark to you? Was I not clear enough the last time I threw out your awful bug!" Her voice still shook and she realized her face was wet. Was she crying? In front of Hawkmoth! Maybe she was an easy mark after all.

   He must have seen the hesitation in her face, because he forged on, "What has Ladybug done for you lately? You were her most devoted fan, and yet you had to steal just a taste of her power, only for her to lead you on and cast you aside. I can give you back that power and more. I can give you all the miraculous, and boost you still. My Queen." Chloe felt like she'd been hit in the face with a frying pan. Not because off the Ladybug comment though. All of the miraculous? This was an even bigger problem than her allegiance. (saying something, she knows)

   She was NOT an easy mark, but she could play the part to get the miraculous away from Hawkmoth. He'd come after her and her family one too many times now. "Release my parents' akuma first." she demanded. She put on her haughtiest expression, which really wasn't hard. She was French after all. And practically a princess in Paris. Hawkmoth smiled and snapped his fingers. She could hear shouts of surprise from the heroes fighting her parents and knew that he was being true to his word. Of course he was though, he needed that akuma back to use on her.
