My Unpredictable Life

I'm a What???!!!

I started hearing few steps approach, but saw no one. Oddly my hearing was started to amplify sounds and my smell picked up on little details like pizzas all the way in the closed Restaurant. After a few minutes, I saw a group of eight people who looked like college students.

It was finally dark outside but I could see them quite well. "Hello Aja.," one girl with a seductive voice. She had long thick brown hair and sapphire blue eyes. When they walked closer I could see a guy and a girl I knew from my space science class. "What's this meeting about?," I asked curiously. "Aja you're going to figure out in just a few minutes when the moon is up," chuckled the sapphire eyed girl. "What do you mean?," I asked wondering if like they were taking some kind of hallucinogen.

"Follow us into the forest," said the girl I knew from class assertively. "Umm. I don't know y'all," I replied with a what the heck was going on face. "Aja. You have to trust us, because if you don't leave anywhere where you'll be seen, you'll regret it," said the nerdy guy from my class. "Okay fine," I said thinking about how I needed to take risks.

We hiked into the forest and the group was really chatty except for one girl who kept silent. "Okay this is it," said a tall stereotypically handsome guy with dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a chiseled face and body. "What's going to happen?," I said unbelieving until something really crazy happened.

I started feeling hair grow on my body and my body was getting bigger and bigger as my clothes started to peel off. The heck? I looked around at the others and they we changing too. We were werewolves. How though? After the transformation they ran off and called me to follow. Strangely I could understand the basic meaning of their howls. Why me though? We bite me?

      We ran through the forest and the sapphire eyed girl lunged at a deer. Normally I would find this revolting as I would never harm an animal as a human, but I wasn't a human then. I saw a tall elk and felt exhilarated to stalk it. After we hunted or attempted to, we ran across to a forest far away.

After hours of running around, I must of become human again but couldn't remember when. I woke up in my bed to the sound of my alarm and pulled the covers off. "What!," I yelped hoping my roommate was still asleep. I was naked. So this is my new life? Luckily my roommate was already gone and probably headed off to breakfast. I quickly put on clothes and walked to the bathroom. When I looked in the mirror, I noticed blood all over my mouth. Oh my goodness, I'm going to look like a murderer, I thought.

I cleaned up and noticed that I was full and didn't want breakfast. While I was taking a shower, someone quickly opened the curtains. "What the h*ll?," I said loudly and angrily. It was that sapphire eyed girl. I quickly pulled the curtains onto my nude body. "What did you do that?," I asked frowning. "I needed to get your attention to tell you about why you're a werewolf," she said explaining. "You didn't have to do that though. Let me get dressed first. Okay?," I said getting her to leave.

When I was dressed and didn't look like a murdered anymore, she looked around for anybody in the bathroom. "By the way I'm Nile," she said smiling. We stood in the bathroom and she told me everything. "My brother Anubis bit you and not by accident. Apparently Anubis thought you were his soulmate, because he had this feeling since werewolves sense things. I mean he could be I don't know. All I know is werewolves can sense who their or their siblings soulmates are," she said explaining. "I don't believe in soulmates and still he shouldn't have bit me," I said not pleased.

"Well you're a werewolf now and your definitely one of the Tadro's soulmate. That's our family surname, it's Egyptian by the way. I'll have to talk later to you about how to control being a werewolf and when it comes out," she said brushing her long wavy dark brown hair. "I guess so. Well I got to get ready for my biology test. Thanks for the strange information," I said with a fading smile.

After this weird encounter with Nile, I walked to class. The smell of autumn was much stronger than I remembered it. I smelled the leaves and saw orange. With all this drama going on, I didn't know how I was going to manage this biology test. I repeated to myself, I studied and I'll do fine.

      After the test, I felt relieved. It was not as bad as I imagined. Between classes I researched about werewolves at the library and didn't know how to cope with it. Should I be angry? Excited? I felt happy that I had a more interesting life, but angry that someone dragged me into a new chapter of my life I didn't choose. Why would I be soulmates with a guy who turned me into a werewolf? And why were there vampires?
