Today was normal compared to the other days. Time for this new job! Something to add onto my busy life. My new job was busy. Gosh. Waitressing tables with customers hungrier than a starving lion. Who knew you could shouted at for forgetting the pepper?
I met a funny girl who was also a waitress. "I'm Marcy," she said reaching her hand out to shake. Her hand was very feminine and soft yet firm. She smelled like sweet vanilla and her electric blue eyes and medium length, slightly, wavy, light blonde hair shone. Her plump lips, diamond face, and upturned nose was magically perfect. She was 1 inch shorter than me and had a beautiful kind of fit, curvy, average body.
She was smart and intelligent and said she was in college to become an FBI agent. She was a senior and I was a freshman in college. Every time we had crazy customers, we would go to the back and talk about them. It was so funny and we laughed like snorting pigs happily enjoying the moment.
After my first day which was Saturday she invited me to get a quick bite to eat at a café. It was 5:30 pm and the sunset was setting earlier as seasons shifted. Apparently sunset was at 6:30 and I wasn't sure if I would still turn into a ware wolf at night even though there was no full moon. I really wanted to go, but had to be careful. I set a timer to leave at 6:05 so that I could have enough time to retreat the forest if I needed to.
"I had lots of fun with you today," Darcy said smiling with her perfectly straight white teeth. "Same! Some customers are really funny when they're angry. And why would someone think the lemon dressing tastes like cyanide?," I said laughing. Darcy put her red Christmas sweater on with reindeer and it suddenly became cold. The sun was going to set soon. I got a veggie burger and she got the nutritious bowl. We shared food and bonded over each other life stories. It was funny, because she originally wanted to be a doctor, but then switched majors. She was the oldest of three and had a house in Washington.
After talking for awhile, I checked my phone to see if the timer went off. To my surprise, it had and I didn't hear it since my ringer was off. It was 6:27. I jumped up and quickly gathered my stuff. " What's going on?," asked Darcy concerned. "I have to go. Umm. It's an emergency. Sorry to leave early without warning. Had fun with you!," I said waving and rushing out the door. I looked at my phone again, it said 6:29. Thoughts of me getting caught by the government or shot by a hunter frightened me. What was going to happen?
