Trading Places (Zoey 101)

Chapter 8 - New Roommate

Spring break was finally over and everyone had to get back to reality, especially for Logan and Michael who were painfully waiting for Ms. Burvitch to assign them a new roommate. Even with the possibility of whether or not Chase would be returning in May, so hopefully this would only be temporary. While they waited for her, they decided after a long day off classes to bypass the time and take advantage of the current free space they had to blow up kiddie pool and hook up a pair of hoses to a hot and cold water pump and have their own personal hot tub. But who was going to do it for them and keep watch? 

"I know just the guy." Logan said with a smile.

"Delfig?" Michael asked.

"Delfig." Logan said as he pulled out his phone and called the emotionless odd teen.

"Delfiggilo speaking." He answered.

"Hey it's Logan." The teen heart-throb said.

"Hey, what's up?" He said in his usual monotone way.

"Hey, how would you like to hook up a pair of hoses from my room to the hot and cold water pump and stand watch and change the settings when we ask you to?" Logan kindly asked.

"I don't know, it depends on what I'm getting out of it?" He said.

"How does $20 an hour sound?" The rich boy offered.

"25." Mark said.

"Deal."

"Okay, I'll be there in a few."

"Thanks Mark." Logan said. Then he heard a knock on the door. "It must be time." He said in a bummed voice.

"It must be her?" Michael asked.

Logan answered the door and to his surprise it was Zoey, "Thank God it's only you!" He said as he excitedly wrapped his arms around her and kissed her.

"Were you expecting someone else?" She asked her boyfriend.

"Yeah, Ms Burvitch from the housing office is supposed to assign us a temporary roommate at least." He said.

"Why can't she just wait until Chase is at least here again." She said.

"I know it's stupid, whoever's gonna be in here will probably only be with us for four months."

"So does that mean you have to stay here?" 

"Yeah but until she comes, Michael and I are just going to jacuzzi in here." He said as he waved his hand towards the kiddie pool."

"How are you guys getting hot water in there?" She asked him.

"Oh I'm paying Delfig to run some hoses from here to the hot and cold water pump and stand watch."

"You better not get him in trouble!" Zoey said as she glared at the sleeveless hunk.

"Don't worry, if that happens I'll just talk to Dean Rivers and set things straight."

"Well can we, mainly you avoid getting in trouble a second time this month?" She asked Logan.

"I promise." He replied.

"Okay, well I'll see you later then."

"Yeah I'll call you." He said as he kissed her.

"Okay." After she left, Mark called Logan letting him know that he was outside which reminded him of something as he quickly ran out of the room and down the hall just in time before Zoey left his dorm. What's the matter?" She asked him.

"Could you do me a favor?" He asked his girlfriend.

"What's that?" She asked.

"Please don't tell Quinn, for all I know she'll shoot me with that zap-watch of hers."
