Trapped a Newt Fanfic (the maze runner)

Chapter 1

I can't move. I'm stuck in a box of some kind, sending me off somewhere. All of a sudden a bright light blinds me, making me shield my eyes.

I can hear murmurs from lots of different voices, what's going on? I start to panic but before I have the chance to think somebody jumps into the box with me.

He is tall with dark blonde hair and eyes the colour of a deep brown. He looks down at me with confusion before lifting his head back up to face the others who have swarmed around the lift.

"It's a girl?" he speaks in a strong english accent. I hear gasps along with boys peeping their heads in to see me.

"I call dibs!" I hear one boy shout as I roll my eyes. The blonde boy replies "Shut up you Shank."

Suddenly, I am hoisted up by the blonde boy to a large group of people. I scan the crowd, why aren't there any girls here?

The boy jumps out of the box with ease, introducing himself. "Hi I'm Newt, can you remember your name?"

I stand there for a moment trying to remember anything, until I start to become uneasy and collapse into darkness.
