Trapped a Newt Fanfic (the maze runner)

Chapter 9

Newt and I continue to kiss, deepening it as I wrap my arms around his neck and his around my waist. The kiss starts to get a little heated as our breathing becomes more heavier, desperate to give as much passion as possible into the kiss. I know that if we don't stop now it will lead to something else, so I pull away from Newt, trying to catch my breath.

After a few minutes we begin to cool down, eventually breathing at a normal pace again. "Wow... That was amazing" Newt says with a genuine smile of amazement, I notice that his face is bright red from being flustered, mine probably looks exactly the same!

Finally, we finish the picnic and start to head back to homestead. "We can't let anybody find out about this y/n. I'll get banished if anybody knows about you and I." The gladers have all made a rule that I can't be in a relationship with another glader, nor can they touch me at all. This rule is pretty stupid though to be honest, well at least that's what I believe. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me" I say to Newt, sending him a wink. I watch as his eyes widen, making me laugh a little bit. "God, your laugh is so bloody beautiful." I feel my cheeks turn bright red and Newt giggles at me. God, I can't find one flaw in this boy.

We arrive back at homestead where we meet Alby, who's rushing around everywhere. "What's going on Alby?" I ask. He ignores me and continues to hurry around everywhere. Eventually, after he slows down a little he answers. "It's time for a new greenie... Hey where were you guys this morning? I saw that your sleeping bags were empty." I look at Newt who is trying to think of a somewhat believable lie. I step in, "Erm.. We went to the forest.. To erm.. Get some berries for our food supply." Alby seemed convinced by the lie, nodding his head in understanding.
"Oh alright, fair enough then." And without a second look he walks off towards the Box. Well, that was easy. "Right, let's go check out the newbie" Newt says and starts to head to the Box. I follow him close behind, I feel sorry for whoever's in there. I can still remember my dreadful time in there, I don't have time to reflect on my experience in the Box before I am quickly brought back into reality, as I hear a loud screeching sound before a loud thud, making the ground quiver slightly. I guess they've arrived now. Newt and Alby open the top of the box, so they can get a good look at the new greenie. After it opens Gally jumps straight in the Box to greet the boy. "Rise and shine greenie" I hear Gally say. Gally's so intimidating, I bet the boy is scared out of his mind! Alby sends a rope down so that Gally can get the new boy out of the Box. After the boy comes out, he scans the crowd. He looks a mixture of being petrified and being confused. I really feel bad for this boy, he can't remember anything then all of a sudden he is thrown into this place with 50 boys. After a few seconds of his eyes scanning the crowd his eyes finally meet mine. He already looks more relaxed, which is a good sign. Alby then walks up to the boy, "Hey greenie, welcome to the Glade."
