Monday Night Raw.
The WWE Universe anxiously awaited the arrival of Randy, hoping to receive some news about Scarlett's disappearance. Rumors had been swirling within the past twenty four hours; no one had any clue where she was and whether her abduction was scripted or not. Everyone wanted answers.
I heart voices in my head.
They counsel me.
They understand.
They talk to me.Randy hesitantly burst through the curtain, not wanting to be the bearer of bad news. He still couldn't believe he just let Scarlett be taken away and not even try to go after her. The look of horror in her eyes haunted Randy; he couldn't get her out of his head. If only he tried to save her, maybe this wouldn't have happened.
As he held the microphone up to lips, Randy surveyed the crowd, looking at all the nervous expressions. "Um," he gulped, "I came out here because I have something to tell you all," Randy paused. He really didn't want to say it. "Yesterday at the Royal Rumble, two unidentifiable masked men abducted the Raw GM, Scarlett. Unfortunately, Scarlett is no where to be found, and as a result, police are investigating her disappearance and promised that they will do everything they can to find her. However, until she is found, the general manager position has been vacated, and Triple H will once again be in charge."
The crowd hung their jaws open in utter shock at Randy's announcement. No one could believe that this was even possible; even Randy kept telling himself that this wasn't real. But as hard as he tried, the guilt never left him.
While he was just standing there in the ring, Scarlett could be god knows where. But there was nothing he could do.
Randy's thoughts were interrupted by the emergence of CM Punk, who slowly made his way down to the ring, with a microphone in his hand. Randy raised his eyebrow in confusion. This wasn't scripted.
"You know I've been thinking, Randy," Phil stood on the steel steps, "and I've finally come to a conclusion," he slid in between the ropes to enter the ring. "What I mean by that is that in the past 24 hours, I kept thinking about what I could have done to possibly save Scarlett, and prevent this from even happening. I kept thinking about where she could be and what could happen to her, and some of those thoughts were horrible, and I never want to imagine them again. But my point is, I realized that I have no clue in hell what is even going on anymore. But what I do know is that you were he last one to see her, and you did nothing to stop those two douche bags from taking her away. You just stood there," Phil narrowed his eyes. "And although I know there was no chance I had to stop them, you did." He gave Randy a look of disapproval.
"We've already been over this Punk," Randy said boredly.
"Yes, we have. But what I still don't understand is why you just stood there when you had the chance to save her," Phil raised his eyebrow.
Randy recognized the harshness in his voice. "What are you trying to say?" he folded his arms over his chest.
"I think you know exactly what I'm saying, Orton," Phil spat.
"If you think I have something to do with Scarlett's abduction then you're sadly mistaken." A vein in Randy's arm bulged as he clenched his fist, trying not to act on this accusation.
"I don't know Randy, are you sure about that? Because it just doesn't make sense," Phil shook his head. "I really believed that deep down you still cared about her, even after what she did to you, but now I don't know," he sighed. "Was this your way of getting back at her? Because if it was, Randy, that's some messed up shit, and excuse my language, but I swear to God if I find out that you had something to do with this---"
