"It's just...." he trailed off, too nervous to even say it. "There's something I've been meaning to tell you."
Scarlett could sense the hesitation and worry in his eyes, something she hadn't seen in a long time. "Well what is it? Because we don't have all night, and I really want to get out of here," she sighed.
"I'm still in love with you," Randy blurted.
Scarlett's eyes widened in surprise. That was the last thing she expected him to say. "Randy..."
"I know what you're going to say, but please here me out," he felt his chest swell up. This was a hard thing for him to admit. "Ever since you left, I haven't been the same," he ran his fingers through his hair, "I felt like a part of me was missing, and it really just sucks, because I've been miserable without you. And the whole Seth thing, I was jealous because I saw how close you two were getting before he became involved in this whole Chris Jericho shit," he sighed. "I really did miss you Scar, and I'm sorry I drove you away. I'm sorry for all of this. If I would've just ran after those guys, I might have saved you from this, and I can't help but feel like it's my fault," he looked at the ground, unable to look her in the eyes. "I miss you Scar, and I'm hoping you'll give me a second chance, and I promise I won't mess it up this time," he exhaled sharply.
"Randy..." Scarlett didn't know how to react. "I don't blame you for any of this happening, so you really shouldn't feel guilty about that, but as for everything else..." she paused, "I just don't know if I can trust you again."
"What?" Randy took a step back.
"You slept with Barb," Scarlett pointed out.
"But, but," Randy stuttered, "Scarlett, you know she didn't mean anything to me, in fact, she turned out to be a nut case."
"That still doesn't change the fact that you fucked my former best friend," Scarlett sighed.
"Scarlett," Randy reached for her hand as Scarlett turned away. "I was lonely, okay? I was miserable, and I hadn't slept in days because I couldn't stop thinking about you. Every single day, you were on my mind, because I missed seeing you, I missed hearing your voice, I missed being with you. I really did, you have to believe me," he pleaded.
"If I ask you a question, do you promise me you'll be one hundred percent honest with me?"
"Of course," Randy nodded.
"I overheard the conversation you had with your dad, the day you got suspended and came back, and I heard you say something, pretty serious, and I was wondering if you really meant it," Scarlett asked, referring Randy calling Scarlett his "one in a million."
Randy furrowed his eyebrows. "Are you talking about when-----?"
"Yeah," Scarlett bit her lip, nervous to hear his answer.
"Yeah, I meant that. I really did think you were the one," Randy exhaled. "After spending so much time together, I guess you kinda just grew on me," he confessed. "But I think I just ruined my chances of getting back together with you," he spoke softly.
"You know, I still never fully understood why out of the people in the world, you chose me. I mean, all of the divas are so much prettier and more outgoing than me, and yet, you chose me. Why?"
"Because," Randy's voice trembled.
"But I must admit, I missed you too," Scarlett sighed deeply as a small smile appeared on Randy's face. "I guess I just never thought you'd still have feelings for me, even after I broke up with you. I figured you'd move on and find someone better," she put her hands in her pockets.
"That's impossible," Randy smirked. "I never stopped loving you Scarlett. You're the one, the only one, I want to be with, and I truly mean it," he titled her chin up. "I'll even get down on my knees and beg if I have to," he said, seriously. "Just give me another chance, and I won't fuck it up," he promised as he knelt on the ground with his hands folded.
"You're such an idiot, you know that?" Scarlett rolled her eyes. "Now get up and kiss me, and then we can be official," she chuckled as Randy's eyes light up.
"You're so demanding, I love it," Randy rose to his feet and leaned in. "I've been waiting so long to do this again," he smirked as he cupped her face and slowly kissed her. Scarlett giggled in between kisses as Randy slid his hands around her waist and pushed their bodies closer together. "I love you," he whispered, "I never stopped."
"I really fucking missed you, you know that?" Scarlett mumbled as Randy lifted her legs up from the ground and slid them around his waist.
"I know," Randy smirked as he deepened the kiss and ran his fingers through Scarlett's hair. "Now come on, let's get out of here," he chuckled as he broke the kiss and gently lowered Scarlett to her feet.
"What?" Scarlett giggled as Randy kept smiling at her.
"Nothing," he intertwined his fingers with hers. "I'm just glad you're back," he kissed her foreheard, causing Scarlett to blush.
