Chapt. 15

Onika's Pov

I'm out with one of my best friends Ariana at the mall shopping for new baby clothes since Aaliyah's starting to grow. By the way Ariana is 7 months pregnant.

"Oh my god , this would be so cute om Aaliyah! It would go with her 13's." She says picking up a red and black onesy that says Future Dimepiece on the front. I smile and put it over my arm.

"Come on we gotta start looking for coats since winter's coming up." I say pulling her over to the other side. I see 3 cute coats one in adult sizes and then baby sizes. "Matching outfits!" Ariana says clapping.

I laugh and get me and August and Aaliyah a coat. I find myself a leather coat and me and Aaliyah a pair of boots.

August's Pov

I'm at home watching Aaliyah while Onika's out shopping with Ariana.

I'm sitting in the floor with Aaliyah when she starts crawling away. "Aye where you going shorty?" I ask.

She looks back at me and laughs and keeps crawling. I get on my knees and crawl behind her her. I get a hold of her feet and start tickiling them.

She starts kicking and laughing. I sit her on my back and give her a piggy back ride back to the living room. She sits on my back and watches tv with me.

But she leans over and knock down my glass of Pepsi. "Aye what's wrong with you Aaliyah?!" I say getting a little loud and taking her off my back. She looks up at me and pouts.

"Don't look at me like that you know you was wrong!" I say looking down at her. I grab her hand and pop it.

She starts crying and I feel a little bad. I hate seeing her cry. I get up and clean up the mess she made.

I sit back down and she crawls beside me. "Dada." She says. I look down at her and she has her arms raised above her head.

I sit her on the couch and wrap her fat legs around my neck with head facing away from her. She plays with my hair and hits on my forehead. I throw my head back and look at her.

"Gimme kiss Beauty." I say putting my lips together. "Muahhhhh." I say when she kisses me. She laughs making me smile. She keeps playing with my hair and I drift off to sleep.

Onika's Pov

After dropping Ariana off I get dinner and go back home. I walk in the house to see August asleep against the couch and Aaliyah asleep on his head with her legs around his neck.

"Aww." I whisper taking a quick picture.

I post it on Instagram and write the caption , "My itty bitty baby on top , my biggest baby on the bottom.. I swear they have an unbreakable bond." I tag Aug in it and wake them up.

"Aaliyah come on baby get up." I say picking her up. She wakes and lays her head back on my chest. I pull out my food and start to eat.

She eats some of my french fries until she gets full. "August get up and come eat baby." I say getting loud. He gets up comes to eat. "What ya get from the mall?" He asks with a mouth full.

"Got Aaliyah come clothes , me a leather coat , all 3 of us the same coat so we can match one day , and me and Aaliyah a pair of boots." I say taking a sip of my Sprite. "What? A pair of boots? Onika she cant even walk yet!" August says getting a little loud.

"Yes boots is that a problem?" I ask looking down at my plate. "Onika money dont grow on trees , our funds getting low." He says sternly. "Well I dont know what to do. Stripping is all know." I say looking up at him.

"Didnt you get a degree in nursing or something?" He asks. "Baby I cant work in a hospital! With those hours who'll take care of Aaliyah?" I ask getting loud. 

"Moms will!" He says throwing his fork on the plate. "I'm not letting your mother raise my child! No , not gon happen I'm sorry." I say putting my hair behind my ears. "Onika we need the money!" He yells.

"Lower your fucking tone with me nigga! And I'll look for a job tomorrow August!" I yell back. I hand Aaliyah to him and go upstairs.

I start packing me and Aaliyah a bag. I need to get away from August for a day or two. I go back downstairs and get Aaliyah from August.

I get the keys to MY car and go into the garage. "Onika where you going girl?" I hear August asking from behind me. "I need get away August , I'm going home." I say putting the bag in the car and putting Aaliyah in her seat.

August comes behind me and holds me. "No baby , don't leave. I need you." He says kissing on my neck. "I'll be back the day after tomorrow." I say unwrapping his arms from around me. I get in the car and wipe a slight tear away.

I go back to my old place and take a deep breath before walking in. I check the house making sure no ones there.

It's completely empty. I take Aaliyah and put her in my old bed since she's already asleep. I change into my pj's and get in with her. I fall asleep right after her.

Maybe time away from each other will do me and August some good...
