"So all my files are in this folder that relates to work." I opened up the folder in my doctuments where I kept every case that I had finished in my career. His eyes widened when he saw 50 cases in front of him, all solved.
"So, you must be a really good detective then?" Peyton questions me. I shook my head no.
"I just get a lot of help from many people and make sure those killers get put away for good." I defended myself in a way. I turned my lap top off and looked up at the tall handsome guy sitting in my kitchen. His eyes sparkled a bit, showing he was instersted in what I have to say.
"Tell me more about your husband." He offered to listen about my love life. For once, I didn't want to talk about Nathaniel, I didn't want to think about him, nothing.
"You already know the basicas about him. There really isnt much to him. I'm tired of him." I admitted to myself. Carson then walked into the kitchen and grabbed his cup of milk.
"Dakota?" He tugged at the bottom of my shirt. I looked down at him, into his worried eyes.
"What sweetheart?" I ran my fingers over his head and smiled.
"Daddy's home." He then ran away as soon as the front door opened. Wow, Nate successfully has his son terrified of him. I marched to Nate, who was glaring at Peyton. I smiled at Nate then took his hand. He bent down to kiss me, though I nearly gagged when I caught a scent of his breath. He reaked of alcohol, which I'm not a fan of. My family was filled with alcoholics, which showed me what I don't want to be like.
I turned my head away and looked back at Peyton. Nate suddenly went running after Peyton with his hands in a fist. I went running after my no good husband and tried to stop him. This is when I wished I was stronger.
Nate grabbed Peyton by the collar of his shirt and pulled him in close, trying to scare Peyton; he didn't flinch or blink.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Nate demanded for an answer out of him. Peyton just smiled, knowing Nathaniel is drunk and about to pass out.
"Learning." He winked at my crazed husband. Nate let go of his grip of Peyton then looked back at me. He raised his hand and back-handed me, causing a loud smack sound to echo through out the house.
"I'll be in bed, waiting." He murmered to me. I didn't realize how bad I was shaking until Nate walked back into our room, and Peyton helped me up from the ground. I could feel tears rolling down my cheeks and my eyes puffing up.

"I'm sorry about that. He's usually not like that." I apologized for his stupid actions. Peyton rubbed my back, then awkwardly hugged me. The hug is something I've been needing for a long time.

"I think you should go." I whispered. I rubbed my fave where Nate had hit me and winced a little from the pain.

"I'll see you tomorrow. Okay? Are you sure you'll be alright?" He threw questions at me like high school math teacher. I forced a smile and nodded my head.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I walked him to my front door and said goodnight. I wired for him to leave before realizing I was his ride.

"Wait, Peyton!" I yelled at my front porch. He stopped walking and turned to me.

"I forgot I drove you here. The least I could do is take you back to your car." I talked in my normal voice so I dont wake anyone up.

"It's fine, I can just walk." He replied back to me. I shook my head, closed the door behind me and showed him my car keys.
"Get in." I demanded as Peyton walked closer to me, taking long strides to get to my car quicker.

"Now that you've seen my place, show me yours."
