CHAPTER #3

"what did the doctor said? Tell me the truth already!"Irene is asking her brother after she make sure that her mother is asleep at her hospital bed "I know it's something serious when they didn't let her go home"

Jisung is silent for a while, but in the end he tells his sister what's really going on "the Doctor said he find something strange on her stomach, and he need further examination" then he pause for a moment "they assume it's cancer"

Hearing that feels like getting struck at a lighting on daylight, "you sure?"

He doesn't say anything, but Irene know exactly what his brother is thinking. "we should be strong, for mom. We've been through some tough times since dad goes bankrupt, this time we could do it all over again" she embrace her brother while giving him some encouragement which also apply to herself. She need to be strong for both of them.

At the morning, when she and her mother finally got the news from her doctor, once again she is trying to be strong for all of them.

"the good news is, we found it early and there are tons of possibility for your mother to recover and there are many ways to cure it completely"

She listen what the doctor had to say with full attention, and in her mind she already makes so many plan to make this possibility happen.

"and the first we need to do is having an operation to lift up the cancer, and if the cancer hasn't spread to another place it's a good news then we only need to give some medication to remove it completely and your mother will be cancer free. Let's just pray for the best"

After briefing with the doctor with all the possible alternative in every condition, Irene and her mother went back to her ward, while she's been making up some plan in her head her mother have been really quite during their appointment.

"Don't you have to go to work today?" Her mother asked

"I don't have any coverage today, they only asked me to write some articles that is why I bring my laptop here" she pointed at her backpack that she put right on the nightstand. "About the money, don't you worry, I have my own saving and I think I could get some loan here and there now that I already have a permanent job" Irene try to ease her mother worry, she know that her mother is a bit sensitive when it comes to finance, it was a hard time for her mother when they don't have money back then after her father's business goes down.

"You know what, I already live long enough, maybe this whole thing isn't really necessary"

"Mom! How could you say that, don't you want to see Jisung get married?"

She stays quiet, seems like a lot of things is happening in her mind, and one of them is not having an insurance for their health. Now that her mother is unable to open her Kimbab stall, Irene know that she'll be a sole breadwinner in her house. With medical expense coming up, she need to figure it out where she can get extra cash to cover it.

"I would be thankful enough to see you get married first"

"mom, you are going to get better, trust me, I believe you can fight this"

She smile and grab Irene's hand, gesturing that there is something that her mother need to tell her. But instead of saying something, her mother decide to take a rest and Irene start to do her work. 'she'll talk soon' Irene think.

"I have made my decision" Prince Suho announce when he and his royal family member are gather on their private family room. "In order to keep grandfather's honor and continue this family line, I will accept the arrange marriage that mother propose to me the other day" A smile and relieve expression are shown on both his parents and grandmother's face.

"You make a wise choice, son" his father nods, indicates that he's agree with his son decision

"Now, we should notify the Bae's family so we could plan the detail" the queen dowager said, "I always knew that this day would come"

Seeing his family pleasant reaction, Suho just did not want to ruin this good moment by blabbing out about his next plan through the marriage. He might sound like a jerk, but he plan to divorce his future wife whenever his girlfriend, kim jisoo is ready to settle down. He loves that woman and he is planning to spend the rest of his life with the woman that he love.

For Crown Prince Suho, this marriage is a tool to abolish his obligation as the heir of the crown and as his grandfather grandson. He knew that by doing this marriage will shut everyone mouth including his dear family about his obligation to continue the family line. An heir can wait until he is with the woman that he love, so he's not planning to do anything with his future wife beside having a wedding ceremony together.

"I heard that she went to the same university and graduate as the same years as Suho" his grandmother add "what a destiny, you might have already come across her at some points"

Yes he does, he said it to himself, what a destiny that his future wife just witness him propose to another girl and got rejected.
