CHAPTER #7

The rumor about the prince’s future engagement start to spread widely like just like a viral cat video in social media.

The media just could not stop bothering the palace and people inside it, but just what the Queen order the engagement would not be publish before the actual date. Irene being the journalist herself could not dare to leak even talk about the matter.

After she met the Queen and the crown Prince, she just could not focus on her work that she used to love, knowing that her day as a journalist will end in a week. The good news is that her mother condition is getting better, she have the permission to go home in two days.

It is the day before her mother day of discharge, just like any other day where she goes to the hospital after she finished her job, but when she arrive at the hospital there is something odd happening right now, there are a lot security swarm around the hospital signaling that some important figure is going to pay a visit, she goes to her mother’s room without any second thought about that thing.

She greet her mother and tell her that she bought her favorite snack, which is steam bun filled with red beans paste and tell her about her day that seems always spark interest on her mother,

“Noona, is your fiancé is going to come?” His brother ask her and that makes her choke the water that she’s drinking at the moment

“what? What fiancé?”

“duh.. the crown prince of course”

“What makes you said that?”

He shrug his shoulder “I don’t know, all the security outside makes it feel like an important person is coming”
he said it like it’s not a big deal, after saying that Jisung resume into his game and Irene start to peel some orange for her mother.

Not long after that, a knock was heard on the doors and the one that recently talked about is entering the room.

He wears something casual, a brown khaki pants and black sweater with a branded running shoes, on his hand he carry a huge flower bucket while his other hand carrying a big paper bag with the color red and gold.

“Your highness!” her mother greet him, while both the siblings still freeze in their place, processing what just happen

“Annyeonghaseyo, Mrs.Bae” he walk toward her mother’s bed, Mrs.Bae poke Irene who still hasn’t move from where she’s sitting,

“your grace” finally, Irene is aware on what happening at the moment and gave the chair that she’s been sitting on “what are you doing here?” she said in a low tone, hoping that the Prince could not hear that

“is it wrong to want to visit her? After all, we going to be family soon” He give the flower to her mother “for you Mrs.Bae, and this is for your health” he put the red and gold paper bag on the nightstand while taking a seat beside her bed

“It is an honor for you to be here your grace, my apologize for this poor condition of me to meet you”

While prince Suho chatting with her mother, Irene prepare a beverage for the prince to drink, unlike the time when she met his mother where she feels and probably look nervous as hell, this time Suho seems at ease and look far from nervous, he chat with his mother like an old friend, maybe that what they teach at the Palace, not to be nervous at every occasion.

10 minutes later, Suho excuse himself because he need to go somewhere and Irene could not be happier, being in one room with the prince still makes her feel awkward and nervous.

The news about Suho brief visit to the hospital has spark many attention and has gone viral on online platform the next day, many user has speculate that he has a girlfriend to visit at the hospital, well it is not entirely false either but no confirmation is given by the palace.
