"Looks like you were right Crista."
Sam said, mouth gaping.

"Of course I was."
Crista replied, a pleased smile on her lips.

I stepped closer to the glass, peering out into the enormous chasm below.

"Why is the wall beyond the rockets moving?"
I questioned.

"Don't be silly."
Davis scoffed.

Jasper stepped forward, squinting.

"Because we're under the Ashanik Ocean."

The wall was invisible steel, open to the dark depths of the ocean. I gulped, trying not to envision millions of tons of water pressing down on top of us.

"Now why would someone hide the rockets underwater?"
Glass mused slowly pacing up and down the room.

"What better place? No one would ever find them and the water's cold temperatures would help regulate the heat expenditure at take off."
Crista answered.

"How would they take off? We've got to be miles below the surface, could a rocket blast through water like that without damage?"
I queried.

"I don't think we're as far down as you might think."
Jasper said, stepping to the nearest computer.

"Is it passcode protected?"
Crista asked him.

"Yes, you all make yourself useful and see if the former owners left a password book around here."
He ordered, typing a combination in.

"Access Denied."
The computer read out.

Below the computer desks were cabinets and the five of us nongeniuses began to paw through them, looking for anything that might help Jasper and Crista unlock the system.

"Access Denied."
The computer repeated.

I discovered quickly that my efforts were going nowhere and rocked back on my heels, surveying the room.

"Glass, let's check some of the other rooms, we aren't making any progress here."

Glass pulled her head out of a cabinet and sneezed.

"Agreed."

The two of us made a beeline for a small door off to the left. Glass tried the handle, huffing when it didn't budge.

"Well, unless you have a key."
She started to walk away but I caught her arm.

"Not so fast, I can get us in."

She raised her eyebrows.

"You can pick locks?"

I smirked.

"Better, I can walk through walls."

I took her hand, slipped into my translucent state, and passed the two of us through the steel door into the room beyond. It was pitch black and I fumbled about on the wall for a light switch.

"That was epic Astrid, when did you figure out how to do that?"

My finger finally found the switch and I flipped it upwards, a pale yellow light flooding the room.
